Hi zhugelianges,

Many EA Test-takers face pacing issues in the Quant, the Verbal, the IR or some combination of the three - so you are not alone. However, it's important to remember that pacing problems do NOT exist on their own - they're the results of OTHER problems. Thankfully, the EA is just as consistent and predictable as the GMAT is - so you CAN train to score at a higher level. I've sent you a PM with some additional questions.

Hi zhugelianges.

While the following post was written with people preparing for GMAT verbal in mind, the 7 strategies it mentions are also applicable to EA verbal. So, I think you'll find that, by using them, you'll be able to speed up in EA verbal.

How to Get Faster at GMAT Verbal
Thanks Marty.

May I also ask 1 question?

When I do the reading in verbal, I heavily relied on notes taking. If I do not take notes, the likely result would be I forgot what the passage said.

Should I forgo the notes taking habit? Or should I continue to take notes for the reading comprehension questions in the verbal exam?

Thanks a lot!

You should minimize note taking. If you are taking a lot of notes, you are likely taking too many, and doing so is slowing you down.

Remember, you can always go back to the passage to find the information you need for answering the questions. So, you don't have to remember that much of what it says. You more have to remember what in general it discusses in each paragraph so that you can quickly find the information you need when you go back to it in the course of answering questions.
