Hello
gunnysunny,
Thanks for writing in.
While you have not shared various details about your profile such as your career goals, your achievements, your career progression, as well as your extra-curricular activities, we would like to mention a few things.
To begin with, your experience is on the higher side for ISB and with your coming from an overrepresented pool of Indians with an IT degree, you will have to show a spike in the remaining aspects of your profile in order to have an edge over other applicants. At the same time, though, the on-site experience, as well as the leadership exposure will surely strengthen your case, provided you are able to appropriately express the same in your essays.
The GMAT will be very crucial for you, and in order to boost your chances, we strongly recommend a score of around 730. Of course, the higher the GMAT score, the higher your chances will be, as well. That said, the GMAT is only one component of the applications process and the Admissions Committee is sure to evaluate your profile in a more holistic fashion. In this regard, your essays will become extremely crucial, particularly, why you wish to do an MBA at this point in your career and what your career goals are. Remember, the short-term and long-term goals should not only be in logical sync with each other but also with your overall experience to date.
Thus, if you are able to put forth a set of stellar essays addressing the above, as well as attain the target GMAT score mentioned above, you will have a good chance of bagging an interview call.
Should you have any follow-up questions, feel free to write to us.
All the best!
