sailormarine, I know you will not want to hear this, but it is well worth it for you to treat the GMAT like a puzzle and keep working at it. I advocate that all Indians score 20 points over the class average to be viable (this means, even with a diverse profile in other ways.) So the answer to your question is no, sadly. I think you will be at a disadvantage applying to schools in Quebec if you dont speak French. The GMAT sets where you can attend and informs your trajectory in so many ways. The maximum attempts is 5. If you haven't retaken, PM me about the verbal shiz.

Hi guyz!
Just took the test and scored a disappointing 610 (scored 640 on both GMATPrep1&2). I was kinda expecting this score. The verbal section was a nightmare. The RCs were tough and sentence correction questions seemed to be not so straightforward. I accepted the score anyhow.
Going ahead I plan to apply to Canadian Schools like McGill, Alberta, HEC Montreal. I have a huge advantage in terms of profile as I am a Navy man and have been sailing as marine engineer with the world's biggest shipping company (F150 company). My work experience encompasses global exposure and has given me an opportunity to work in 30+ countries and interact with people from over 15 nationalities. I graduated from a very selective school in India and scored a good GPA too.
Given all these factors, do you feel it makes sense to apply to these schools? Average GMAT for Mcgill is 660 while that for Alberta and HEC is 630.
Thanks!
