Suvanov
Hello, I am planning to but
GMAT Club Tests. and I currently doing some practice with
gmatclub/forum/ds-question-directory-by-topic-and-difficulty - so I was wondering if these two have the same question pool.
Hello,
Suvanov. As someone who has access to the
GMAT Club Tests (free access, in full disclosure, granted for some work I have contributed to the site), I can tell you that the question pool you are looking at is much larger.
GMAT Club Tests are in-house questions, so you will not see material from any outside source. Although these questions can be found in the forum, many of them are not posted in the typical manner with the source tag "Source:
GMAT Club Tests." What you are buying with a subscription is access to the 1500+ question set in a streamlined delivery—i.e. convenience. When you take CATs or quizzes, the interface matches what you will see on the actual GMAT™. After each test or quiz, you can examine the accompanying analytics. In terms of content, the Quant questions are challenging, more so than what you will see even if you are in 50-51 territory. The logic of these questions is sound, unlike what you may come across in questions at large through the question directory. On occasion, the phrasing of a problem or explanation may be "off" to a native English speaker, but again, the problems are sound, and they do a pretty good job of tracing the same lines of logic a person might be expected to reason or work through on test day. Many 700-level questions from third parties are challenging for the wrong reasons, forcing someone to go through laborious and time-consuming steps that are unrealistic and none too helpful for GMAT™ preparation purposes. I have encountered few questions from the
GMAT Club Tests pool that have left me with a similar feeling.
Whatever you decide to do, best of luck with your studies.
