I'm a GMAT noob and plan to track my studies and progress on here in a single thread.
I struggle with standardized tests both on verbal and quant. My goal for my first GMAT would be a 650 (though I certainly wouldn't complain if I hit 700+!)
Target schools are Kelley, Ross, Kellogg, Stanford, Haas, Sloan, Babson, IIT
(Yes, I realize I need a 700+ to get into most of those)
Did I mention I don't test well?
My GMAT is scheduled for December 11. That gives me exactly 82 days to study. I work a full-time job and consult on the side, so time is limited.
Right now my study materials are:
1. Manhattan GMAT books (just received the 8 of them, used, not sure if I can get access to the tests)
2. Official GMAT guides (set of 3)
3. Grockit Standard Membership
4. Knewton Class + 5 GMAT tests
5. Official GMAT Practice tests (2)
6. 800 Score
Now I just have to figure out a schedule (easy) and stick to it (hard.)

Thanks! I was looking at that before starting this thread actually. I like the idea of starting on quant, but I'm nervous about putting off the verbal too long. I'll try out the suggestions on the board here and see how that goes. I need to take a practice test first to understand where I'm at. I'm going to guess I'll get a 480.
But keep in touch with whatever you start with by doing a couple of problems
