If both CR and RC are taking a long time, there are really not many options except that you have to speed up, esp on the CR (that’s easier and faster to do). One rule that you should have is that you only read the CR once for most situations/questions. Train yourself to read the CR once.

Second way to speed up your CR is to answer the question in your own words first. This will save you a lot of time on about 50% of the questions (not 100%) but saving 1 minute on half of the CR’s is quite a bit of time.

Third would be RC’s - you MAY NOT re-read the passage. Do not re-read the passage. You read it one time and ONLY if you are looking for very specific details do you go back. Re-reading the passage should be banned and not allowed.

So do these 3 things when you practice next time for the next few days:
1. Try to Force yourself to read the CR only once and not-reread it in at least 50% of the situations (sometimes you have to re-read it)
2. Answer the CR in your own words first (biggest time gain)
3. Read the RC only once in 100% of the situations (with exceptions of specific detail questions which should be no more than 20% of the time and only a small section that you are double-checking, not re-reading)

Hi,
I have seen a trend in my performance that in CR the questions that i made wrong while giving full length mock( GMAT CLUB)
During analysis of incorrect questions I make them right in one go in similar time frame of 1-2 mins.
Then why i am making mistakes during exam if correct logic i can use during analysis

Kindly advice me the key points to be taken care of so that i can improve

I used to have similar issue earlier
Now I maintain my mentality and composer during test so that anxiety (predicting ques difficulty, fear of making mistake, time running out so reading btw lines) don't creep in. I give myself a mental break and pause for a moment and take one question at a time.

Eventually these type of mistakes became negligible now
Try meditation and maintaining composer of mentality, it may help

These might be the reasons for me as well
Will try to be more composed.

hello guys i really need help regarding my strategy i have got a scholarship and i have fulfilled all the requirments just gmat is left due to time constrainst they have only asked for 600 gmat score and i only have 10 days left and my score is not crossing 500 i have been preparing from 1st of august what should be my approach now for 10 days straight ?? experts plz help i really want to avail is opportunity

I took his 3month course and honestly its not good. Everything is haphazard in that the notes. He teaches quant from CAT questions which are not similar to GMAT. CR he teaches official questions.. it helps to some extent. RC is fine. But he doesn't build your fundamentals. Overall, a big NO.

Hi ,

How you people have taken LOR who are working (IT sector mainly) and don't want to disclose it before final selection
What's the procedure for it to get an LOR.
Can someone please explain the steps?
