[quote="MartyTargetTestPrep"]Hi Vinamra6.
The verbal section of the GMAT is scored differently from the quant section. In fact, whereas you can score in the upper 40s on quant while getting all but 8 questions correct, to score in the 40s in verbal, you generally have to get all but 5 correct. So, V35 with all but 8 correct is pretty normal.
Also, in missing questions 1, 5, 6, and 8, you missed some questions at the beginning of the verbal section that were relatively easy. So, your scoring V35 with all but 8 correct matches your performance.
Thanks for the response.I understand what you are saying. Couple of days back I gave
MGMAT Mock 1 and scored V40 there, with 10 incorrect . Now I am bit confused how should I direct my prep. My wrong questions are all distributed almost equally in all three sections, and they are mostly because of the silly mistakes. I do get them all correct within 2 mins when I review them. Earlier my SC was weak, but now I only get 2-3 incorrect out of 14 SC questions in mocks, with accuracy of about 85%. I am planning to give GMAT in next 10 days and aiming for V40-V42.
