My obvious concern is low GPA during undergrad from a non top 20 colleges in India. Will the GMAT, work ex, my goals, and (hopefully) strong essays offset this by any chance?

Thanks in Advance.

Hi there,

What an interesting background--congrats on everything you've accomplished to date! I'm sure you have some interesting stories from the startup to write about in your essays.

At first glance it's hard to say what your chances are without having all the pieces of the puzzle (namely, your GMAT and your professional accomplishments in the next two years) but these schools are tough to be accepted at for just about anyone. It's great that you're already thinking ahead because there are a few things you can do over the next year or two to improve your chances at Harvard, Stanford, or another top school (e.g. Haas could be a great fit!). It sounds like you have super strong technical skills, but MBA programs are really looking for leadership potential and evidence of higher-level strategic thinking. Are there projects you can get involved in at work to start flexing these muscles? (Ideally also opportunities to impress the folks who will write your recommendations so they have great stories to share!)

You also didn't clarify *why* you want an MBA--it's not enough to have a strong profile and a high GMAT score, you have to show the ad coms that you have well thought-out, specific, and achievable career goals that you're going to accomplish with the knowledge and network that comes from an MBA. Luckily you have some time to work on this, and feel free to reach out if you think we could be helpful in clarifying some of these next steps for you. Good luck!

Best,
Karen

Background: Bangladeshi Male (29 year old at time of Matriculation)

Personal Brand: 29 year old Bangladeshi Male with experience of Venture Capital Investing and Startup Operational Roles in an Emerging Country. I hope to combine my emerging market experience with the global perspective and best practices available through a US MBA to become a global VC investor, focusing on Emerging Markets.

Applying to: Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, MIT Sloan, Chicago Booth, Columbia

Education:

1. Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, 3.92/4.00 (considered the top Engineering School in the country)
2. MBA from Institute of Business Administration – University of Dhaka, 4.0/4.0 (considered the top Business School in the country)
3. CFA Charterholder

GMAT: 770 (50Q, 46V)

Why I’m looking for a Second MBA:
My existing MBA experience happened immediately after my undergraduate degree. This resulted in my classroom experience often being theoretical, as I did not have the work experience required to relate classroom lessons with real world examples. (It is common for universities in Bangladesh to accept MBA students with no work experience)
I pursued an MBA to pivot to a career path in Finance. My choice of pursuing Engineering as an undergraduate student had been made at a very young age, and at that time, I did not have the career path related information in order to make an informed decision. I realized 3-4 years into my undergraduate degree that my interests would be more suited towards a career in the financial services sector. A local MBA was my entry point into that career path.
While my existing MBA has helped me make the switch to the career path I want, it is very much a local experience. My career aspirations are global, and the Bangladesh-based MBA does not provide me with access to global opportunities. A global MBA provides me with access to those global opportunities.

Work Experience:

Role 1 (4.5 years, current full-time role):

Working as an VC Associate/Analyst in the Asset Management Arm of a leading Financial Group in Bangladesh ($160M+ annual revenue, Included in Top 30 Public Market Index). I joined in their Leadership Development Program (10 chosen from 20,000 applicants). Promoted twice in four years (one early promotion)

Achievements:
1. Launched the first local venture capital fund of Bangladesh. I was the first employee in the business unit, and paired with a General Manager to help build up the business unit from scratch.
2. Led the Due Diligence for the Group’s first VC investment, including creation of a new transaction structure that solved a major pain point for local startups. The structure we created has been used by the company to raise $3 MM+ of capital from local investors afterwards, including the later round Lead Investor. (this accounts for ~40% of local investment into startups within that period). This was one of the first instances of Corporate Venture Capital in Bangladesh.

Role 2 (1 year, current part-time role, part of Portfolio Management of full-time role):

In addition to my full-time role, I work as a Marketing Strategy Consultant in one of our Portfolio Companies. It is a leading Online Grocery Delivery Company with $35M+ in Annual Revenue, and has raised $15M till date from global VCs. It is one of the best funded startups in the country. I manage 3 teams with 20 direct and indirect reports.

Achievements:
1. Helped the leadership team identify growth opportunities during Coronavirus induced lockdown that helped the company grow topline by ~60% from February 2020 to August 2020
2. Led the company’s initiatives on new acquisition channels – focusing on Offline Channels. Average order numbers have improved by ~30% over the last 2 months of implementation within target zones.
3. I led the creation of the Category Function within the company, and am leading a key Category at this moment (~2M in annual sales). I Devised and Executed strategies for that category that have helped reverse a growth slump, and improve sales and user acquisition by ~40% over the first two months of implementation.

Community and Others
1. Have acted as a Mentor for the largest Startup Accelerator in the country. Mentored 10 startups over the course of 6 months.
2. I also am a trainer through an Ed-tech startup, through which I provide guidance and training to Founders regarding Business Development and Fundraising in the Bangladesh Market. I’ve been able to reach 35-40 Startups through this platform.

Post MBA Goals

Short and Middle Term: Start as a Management Consultant in MBB Startup Practices. (i.e. McKinsey Fuel, BCG Corporate Ventures). These practices place a lot of people into operational roles in Startups, which is my medium term goal.
Long Term: Use my experience in MBB and Startup Operational Roles to become a Venture Investor in Emerging Markets (South Asia, Africa etc)

Narrative:
A decade ago, I lived in a city where we didn’t have internet access, and had to endure 8-10 hours of electricity outages every day. Over the last decade, my life, as well as the lives of millions of people around me, has been changed for the better due to the economic and technological development in my country. My work as a VC investor has helped me drive that change in Bangladesh, and I hope to take that experience and translate that into transforming lives across other emerging nations.

What I would appreciate from the experts here:
1. A sanity check regarding my competitiveness in my target programs.
2. I'm worried about how my chances will be affected by my existing MBA. I've given an explanation in the post, but would appreciate any comments on this.
3. I feel that my Extra-Curriculars are relatively weak, how much of an impact would this have on my chances?
4. General advice regarding my narrative. While it reflects reality, does it come off as cliche?

Hey tausif0806,

You have a pretty great profile

Academically you have an outstanding GPA during both your undergraduate and your post graduate degree. Furthermore, the brand of your institutions being renowned adds value to your profile. This, coupled with your ethnicity would certainly allow you to stand out, since most B-Schools are looking to add diversity to their cohort. Moreover, your CFA certification adds onto your profile by showcasing your strong academic ability. As for your GMAT, an overall score of 770 is outstanding and would bolster the AdComs confidence in your academic abilities and improve your acceptance chances. However, while your grades and aptitude test score do play an important part, your extracurricular activities and other endeavours are equally important.

As far as your work experience goes, since an MBA is a manager's degree and requires significant work experience, your 5+ years of work experience would put you at par with other applicants. You have a pretty varied work profile and roles in different domains which works in your favour. Moreover, you have quantifiable achievements and large projects in each role which showcase how you have been an asset to the firm and how you have created impacts. However, since you have not mentioned the brands you have worked with I would like to inform you that you would be facing competition from applicants with more extensive work experience hailing from the big 4 brands, hence to compensate for the same and differentiate yourself, you need to explain and properly highlight the major projects of your work and how these experiences helped to develop and further groom your skills and knowledge. Highlight why you chose these firms, how you have gone beyond the role, the initiatives you took and the kind of impacts you created to establish a connection with your goals and portray the knowledge gained from these experiences.

Coming to your extracurriculars, you have two mentorship and training experiences which are again great value additions. These showcase your ability to take up initiatives, impact others, and expertise in your domain. B-schools are looking for applicants that are future leaders and such experiences and qualities most certainly vouch for your abilities and strengthen your application.

Coming to your decision to pursue the second MBA, it would not hamper your chances if you properly justify why you need this MBA and how it would add value to your endeavours by highlighting specific personal examples and showcasing how you would leverage this program in your future endeavours.

To boost your extracurriculars, you could take up relevant certifications or courses in your desired domain to showcase your drive to upskill yourself. Further, you could take up CSR and NGO activities to build on this aspect further, since you already have mentoring roles, maybe take up education of the underprivileged to build your profile further.

Moving on, you have a promising narrative which most certainly wouldn’t come across as a cliche as long as you link it to real life examples highlighting the endeavors you’ve directed towards fuelling your ultimate goal, along with chalking out a well laid strategy to accomplish various feats in future.

As for the schools you are targeting, Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, MIT Sloan, Chicago Booth and Columbia, all come under the dream category. Dream schools have a very stringent acceptance rate of 12-15%. Hence, you would need to prepare a strong application, highlighting your strengths and showcasing how you are a great fit to the school. However, when you are applying to schools abroad it is always better to hedge your bets wisely and target a mix of dream and competitive schools.

To help you understand better, I’ve suggested a few competitive schools that you could be targeting:

Competitive: Michigan, McCombs, Fordham, USC: Marshall

Having evaluated your profile, I’d say you have a 50% chance of getting admitted to the schools in the dream category and a 70% chance of getting admitted to the schools in the competitive category All said and done, while you have a good profile, there will be thousands of applicants out there with similarly great profiles, which is why your application would play a huge role in enhancing your chances of getting accepted into your target schools. You would need to highlight your profile USP’s and how you can be a great addition to the school whilst posing the right examples to legitimize your claim. Additionally, you need to ensure that your LORs and Resume, equally depict the strengths of your profile since your application( SOP, ESSAY, LOR & RESUME ) will hold a 30% value in the selection procedure.

On this note, if you are looking to target these top B-schools and want to prepare a strong application that would increase your chances by at least 3 times, you can check our comprehensive all in one solution that has helped thousands of applicants get into their dream schools worldwide.

Hi jpan,

Your profile looks good. Let me give you an evaluation over major aspects of an application:

- Stats: Pretty Impressive. As for HBS, you do exhibit your potential to master analytical and quantitative concepts.

- Work-Experience: I am missing on a lot of details here. And this is the most important part of an application. So, to evaluate your profile comprehensively, I need to know how many years of work-ex you have had, what roles and leadership positions you undertook and what impact you created on the company you're working for. Harvard, for several years now, places a great emphasis on considerable leadership experiences.

- ECs: As you say, you are into a "lot of volunteer work", it should reflect a collaborative leader and a compassionate person in your apps. Every school does stress on this part and so does Harvard. So, for the first essay, if this is a strong point of your profile, you may like to talk about this. Also, your interest in Indian music sounds pretty cool.

Overall, it's really hard for me to comment on your competitiveness for Harvard with a lot of details missing including your post-MBA goals. But Harvard, being an elite school, can be a stretch for anyone. So, I suggest you have a good mix of reach, target and safety schools for your schools' list. For starters, you may target McCombs, Johnson in US and HEC, Said, Rotman for non-US schools. If you'd like, we are happy to hop on a call with you to understand your profile better and help you with shortlisting the right schools. Feel free to book our calendar as per your convenience.

Cheers!

Thank you for your response! Appreciate the pointers and will definitely take a look at other schools you've mentioned. I did think HBS was a bit of a stretch TBH.
Thanks again!

Hi everyone! Firstly, best of luck to everyone who is applying to Harvard and congratulations to those who have already secured an admit. We are two incoming MBA candidates at INSEAD. Last year, when we were in the middle of our application process, we had a lot of questions about business schools but not enough avenues to find the answers. We wanted to bridge this gap and, at the same time, relieve some of the stress and uncertainty the pandemic has caused in the minds of prospective MBA candidates. This is how our YouTube channel 'Role Call' was created!

Role Call presents its first live fireside chat 'Pursuing an MBA in Challenging Times' tomorrow, Sunday (22nd November) at 3PM GMT (10AM EST, 8.30PM IST, 11PM SGT). Our guest is an INSEAD alum, Sharath Jeevan, who graduated from INSEAD during the dot com bubble burst. He is one of the world's leading experts on intrinsic motivation and on how to apply motivation thinking to address our deepest problems. If you are an incoming or aspiring MBA candidate and you are feeling the burn of uncertainty all around, this session will nudge you to form a unique perspective. 1. Background: Married Male Chinese American (Green card holder). Transferred to University of Illinois at U-C after finishing sophomore years in a top-10 college in China with a ~3.6 GPA (converted by WPS). In another 3 years, I graduated from UIUC with 3.4 GPA with a B.S in Molecular/Cellular Biology. (In 1st and 3rd semester I had around 2.2 GPA due to immaturity and inadaptability (young dumb), but in other 4 semesters I all got ~3.85. This journey was like a rollercoaster). I am planning to apply Round 1, 2021. So I will have 5 years of working experience when I start my MBA.

2. Work experience: I have been working for 3 years as of now. I am an R&D scientist in biotech. My first employer was a small service firm (biotech) where I was promoted in the shortest cycle which permits the promotion. And my current employer is a mid-size industry leader (MIT Spin-off) in cell therapy. I was also promoted in the shortest cycle which permits the promotion. I joined the current employer ~ 1.5 year ago and I got stock options. Now the company just went IPO. I am working on my next promotion. But there is not a guarantee.

3. Volunteer experience/Extracurricular activities: Event Chair or Event leadership teams in ~3 major events in Boston area held by American Cancer Society starting from 2019. The experiences align very well with my jobs. (Fight cancers). Career mentor for UIUC students. Advocate/volunteer for American Diabetes Association. Varsity soccer team player when I was back in China.

4. Test Scores: 330GRE(V161 Q169) 730GMAT(V40 Q49) ~3.4 GPA (since most schools don't want us to convert Chinese grades.).

5. Career goals: Doing business development/general management in Biotechnology start-up. Grow a company. Then VC in biotech so I can grow a lot of companies and bring new products and technologies to the market.

6. Why Harvard: I am in Boston and don't want to relocate. I like Harvard's strong support for entrepreneurship and strong presence in Boston biotech ecosystem. Also it's close to my home haha..

Pros/Big Achievement:

1. Contributing directly to the the Investigational New Drug (IND) submission of our cell therapy product to fight cancer. I know IND may sound unfamiliar and not a lot of people know biotechnology industry very well. But I would say I am top 5% in my working peers in this achievement. And definitely my recommenders will mention how important it is.

2. Chief Scientific Officer will be my second recommender. We are close and he knows me very well. He is a Harvard/MIT alumni, a 30 years biotech veteran, and a member of National Academy of Engineering.

3. My full-time employment salary has increased by 85% in 3 years, because of the change of employer, promotion, merit increase and market match.

4. Company is fully supportive of my MBA goal. So I am taking responsibilities in operation/communication/management projects even if my role is R&D scientist.

Cons:

1. Low GPAs in 2 semesters. I think I can explain, and I indeed learned and changed a lot from this failure. But low GPA is low GPA.

2. Being a Chinese/Asian in biotech??? Not sure about this...

Thanks again!

Hey jesliwoo,

You have an excellent profile. To start off with your strong suits, your CGPA of 3.4 in undergraduate is very impressive and showcases your academic prowess. Also, you have graduated from UIUC, which again works in your favour since schools tend to pick students from top 10 schools of each country.

In addition to this, another significant aspect that schools focus on is extracurricular activities as they are looking for a comprehensive profile. Hence, it is essential to shed some light on the endeavours taken up at any clubs, associations, sports, fest, or events you managed or participated in during your undergraduate. Volunteering initiatives, certifications, or internships undertaken during the course of your study would also count towards your extracurricular initiatives. Herein, you have mentioned that you have led 3 major events by American Cancer Society along with being a career mentor.
Additionally, you have also been involved in sports. This showcases a diverse set of extra-curricular activities in your profile. With this you have also undertaken a project to open bank accounts of 100+ underprivileged kids, which is again very impressive as it vouches for the socially responsible traits in your personality. While you have impressive feats in your profile, you ought to emphasize on what events you have led, what were your roles and responsibilities and what were your major takeaways. Elaborating on these details will showcase a holistically developed profile.

Coming to the professional front, given the fact that you plan to target 2022, post gathering 5 years of work experience, sets you at par with most MBA applicants. In addition to this, a well-reputed organisation plays a significant role in making you eligible for a top B-school. Since you will be competing with candidates from Big 4 firms or other big brands, you need to to differentiate yourself, highlight why you chose this firm, what projects are done so far, how you have gone beyond the role, any initiatives you took, and any kind of impact created to establish a connection with your goals, and portray the knowledge gained from these experiences. Thus, you should focus on the quality of your work to outweigh years of experience under the belts of your competition.

Additionally, also hold a pretty holistic international experience. This works in your favour as it showcases your broadened perspective and ability to adapt seamlessly. You can also upskill yourself by taking some kind of certifications related to your field.
Speaking of your GMAT score, 730 with Quant 49 and Verbal 40 and GRE score 330 (Q169, V161) opens the door for most of the top B-schools in the world.

Coming to your school choice, MIT Sloan comes under the ultra-dream category, where you have a stringent acceptance rate of 40-50%. You would thus require a very well-rounded profile highlighting the kind of work experiences you have had and how you are different from others.

Talking about your concerns, you need not worry as the cumulative GPA is taken into consideration. To compensate for the drop in the initial semesters, you can pose a right alibi by mentioning how extra-curricular activities had kept you busy. Secondly, your academic background wouldn’t at all pose as a negative aspect in your profile as an MBA is pursued by candidates from all walks of life. In order to differentiate yourself, you just need to complement your profile with a strong application that includes essays, letter of recommendation, and resume that highlights all your strong suits, gives reasoning for the weaknesses, and displays how you’d be a good addition to the cohort. As a matter of fact, your application can boost your chances of acceptance by 3x!

Hey jpan,

To start off with the strong suits of your profile, your GPA of 8.2 is very impressive and showcases your academic prowess. Also, you have graduated from one of the Top 3 National Institutes of Technology in the country, which would work in your favour as schools tend to pick students from top 10 schools of each country. Speaking of your GMAT score, 760 is very impressive and would allow you to target all the top B-schools in the world.
In addition to this, another significant aspect that schools focus on is extracurricular activities. Hence, it is essential to shed some light on the endeavours taken up at any clubs, associations, sports, fest, or events you managed or participated in during your undergraduate.

Volunteering initiatives, certifications, or internships undertaken during the course of your study would also count towards your extracurricular initiatives. That said, while your volunteering endeavors seem pretty consistent, you need to make sure you emphasize on what events you have led, what were your roles and responsibilities, and what were your major takeaways. Elaborating them in your profile will showcase a holistically developed profile and would vouch for you being an apt candidate for the school.

Moving to your professional front, you hold 3 years of work experience as a full stack developer in the accounting and pricing unit which is pretty impressive. However, it does fall short since an MBA programme requires an average experience of 4 to 5 years. And since you wish to go for Harvard Business School, one of the most competitive schools worldwide, your chances of getting accepted are slim (around 30-40%).

However, the B-schools in countries like Germany, Canada, Singapore, and the UK are quite flexible on admitting students with lesser work experiences, which is why I would suggest you target the following countries. Also, since most of your competitors will be from the Big 4 firms, you ought to differentiate yourself. You need to leverage the learning from your previous roles to stand at par with the competition you’d be facing. Make sure you explain and highlight the major projects of your work and how these experiences helped develop and further groom your skills and knowledge. Highlight why you chose these particular organisations and job profiles, what the projects are done so far, how you have gone beyond the role, any initiatives you took, and any kind of impact created.

To boost your profile, you can highlight CSR activities to showcase responsibilities taken up and the impacts created by you. This will help portray the socially responsible side of your personality and convince the adcoms of your abilities to be a great future leader.

Coming to your school choice, apart from Harvard, a few schools that you could be additionally looking at are:
CANADA: Waterloo, Ivey, Queen’s, Schulich
UK: LBS, Imperial, INSEAD, Oxford
GERMANY: WHU, Manheim, FSFM, ESMT
SINGAPORE: ESSEC, SMU, NUS

Lastly, while you have a good profile, you need to be aware that you will be facing competition from equally good or even better profiles, which is why, you need to complement your profile with a strong application that includes essays, letter of recommendation, statement of purpose, and resume that highlights all your strong suits, gives reasoning for the weaknesses, and displays how you’d be a good addition to the cohort. As a matter of fact, your application can boost your chances of acceptance by 3x!

Hi akshayt92,

Thanks for sharing a detailed profile. Let me give you a brief evaluation over major aspects of your application:

Stats: I do not think I even need to mention it, but clearly you've demonstrated your mastery of academics and scores.

Work-ex: Again, amazing! Playing multiple and very different roles at the same time with such excellence is no mean feat. You have innovation, impact, leadership, tons of achievements. I do not see any gaps here.

ECs: Unfortunately, I see gaps here. And the gap is you not mentioning about your hobbies, your interests. I do understand with so many different projects at the same time, it's hard to pursue any other interests. And that is okay. All I am saying is, when you write your apps, keep in mind that you have to bring a real person in the apps, a vibrating, interesting personality.

So, overall I do not see any red flags in your profile. You definitely have a good shot at the top US/UK schools. The only thing you have to be careful about is your story. It should be authentic, reasonable and demonstrating core values of the business schools you're applying to. Also, I do understand your reasons of pursuing MBA and they are reasonable, but try to be more specific. You may talk about your new venture and how the schools can help in that project and also, in overall life. If you'd like, we are happy to hop on a call with you discuss your profile at length. Feel free to book our calendar as per your convenience.

Cheers!

Hi,
I would like my profile to be evaluated. Following are my details:

Background and nationality: Indian, Male, Engineer, 29 years

Post MBA goals

Short Term

My obvious concern is low GPA during undergrad from a non top 20 colleges in India. Will the GMAT, work ex, my goals, and (hopefully) strong essays offset this by any chance?

Thanks in Advance.

Hey Advait08,

You have a pretty great profile,

Academically, you have a great GMAT score; an overall score of 760 is outstanding and would bolster the AdComs confidence in your academic abilities and improve your acceptance chances. However, your GPA is slightly on the lower end, but posing the right alibi for the same(health issues or your persistent endeavours for holistic development) would allow you to overcome this drawback in your profile. While your grades do play an important part, your extracurricular activities are equally important as AdComs are looking for applicants with holistically developed profiles.

For your extracurricular activities, you have a lot of social responsibility roles and achievements, your sporting achievements in athletics and football showcase leadership, team spirit and other such skills. Highlighting the work done as part of leading the NSS and how this has influenced your life would help make your profile better. Your teaching and volunteering roles all showcase your strong interest in developing your profile holistically by highlighting your ability to take up initiatives, impact others and to empathize with other people. B-schools are looking for applicants that are future leaders and such experiences and qualities strengthen your application. Thus, you should dig deeper into this aspect and bring out varied skills in your profile.

Coming to your international experiences, your international work experience and travelling experiences are a great value addition to your application as it showcases your adaptability. Ensure you highlight what kind of learnings you derived and how it helped you to grow and develop a broader perspective.

As far as your work experience goes, since an MBA is a manager's degree and requires significant work experience, your 7 years of work experience would put you at par with other applicants. You have a pretty varied work profile with both data analytics and operations roles, however you lack the aspect of big 4 brand names in your profile, a frequent element in the applicant pool. Thus, in order to stand out from the crowd, you most certainly should focus on your leadership roles and major projects of your work and how these experiences helped to develop and further groom your skills and knowledge. Since you lack big brands in your work experience, you can compensate for providing an apt reason as to why you chose these firms, how you have gone beyond the role, the initiatives you took and the kind of impacts you created and the accolades you have won like the Spot Award and the Impact Award to showcase an equally competitive profile.

You have a pretty competitive profile and can target the MBA program at most of the top B-schools. Whenever you are applying to schools abroad, it is prudent to hedge your bets wisely and target a holistic mix of dream, competitive and safe schools. To help you understand better, I’ve suggested a few schools that you could be targeting according to the different categories.

Dream (30-40%): HEC, INSEAD, NYU, Cornell, Ivey, McGill, Oxford
Competitive (60-70%) : ESCP, ESSEC, ESADE, FSFM, IE, Questrom, Michigan, Simon Fraiser

All said and done, while you have a good profile, there will be thousands of applicants out there with similarly great profiles, which is why your application would play a huge role in enhancing your chances of getting accepted into your target schools.

Hi MiMEssay,
Thanks a lot for your amazing feedback. Just one clarification - my latest work experience of 2.5 years in Operations is actually at Facebook, and am quite sure that can be counted as a relatively decent brand (correct me if I am wrong) :)

Hi,
I recently took the GMAT and scored a 750 (Q50 V41 IR6 AWA5)

I have 0 years of work experience but I do have internship experience from PwC India, where I was a finance intern. I have also worked with many NGOs as a volunteer, including CRY, Aastha Prayas and Privileged for Underprivileged.

In college, I have held the position of Head of Content Development for the Model UN society and Event Head for the Economics Society. I have also been a part of the Poetry society and have won an intra-college sports tournament.

Undergraduate Education - Bachelors of Arts (Honours) in Economics from Delhi University (3rd year student) - GPA 8.14/10 (aggregate of 4 semesters)

Class XII - Commerce with Mathematics - 95.6% (Aggregate of 5) and 84.17% (Aggregate of 6). I fell sick for one of the additional exams and therefore, I couldn't appear for the same. I intend to explain it in my application as well.

Class X - 10/10 CGPA

Please evaluate my profile for a deferred MBA programme in United States (preferred field - finance). I intend to apply to all the top colleges including Harvard, Stanford, Wharton Kellogg etc.
