I meant that I didn't have anything previously thought (I have done several Extra Act but I have to start remembering...), but now I'm tempted so I'll do my best.
internship and/or work experience: None. I'm from Córdoba Argentina, where there are a few bunch of big companies to which I applied for internships, but I couldn't get into any of them.
school, major, GPA: Universidad Tecnológica Nacional - Facultad Regional Córdoba. Industrial Engineering. GPA (1-10): 9.10 (which is high, not the top one but high)
test scores, GMAT or GRE: None. I expect to score a 700+ but I don't know yet.
language test scores: none, but I will start preparations for TOEFL in March. (My teacher told me that I will easily score 110)
country of citizenship: Argentina, Córdoba (It's not the capital..)
international exposure and languages: Spanish, English, One year of Chinese. I only traveled to Brazil several times for holidays with my family. I have applied for international exchanges but I still don't know whether I will get in.(pending of answer)
all leadership experience, duration and role: Last year, I've been in a non gvt organization which organizes congresses for students... we managed to bring an ex HBS MBA student... (I did). I was also in charge of talking in front of people to invite and sell them the tickets.(There were 300 participants). During the event, I had to do many activities (such as receiving the participants, the hbs graduate, and other speakers).
To tell you the truth, I was a silent guy (kind like shy) and I decided to get out of that comfort zone. That's why I entered the non gvt org. I wanted to speak more... and I was tired of getting nervous whenever I had to speak in front of many people. So I was literally the only one in the org who was always asking for speaking in front of many people. Because of that, I was the one speaking in front of 100-200-300 people. It was a really good experience..
In that same non gvt org, I represented my University as a subdelegate.
Maybe, this is the most significant experience...
I've also been in a catholic group, leading ,with a woman, 14 teenagers to improve their love to God... (not sure if i can talk about this, it was 3 or 4 years ago)
I've also played computer games, in which, as a member of teams, I had to coordinate several groups..
I've won the olympics of chess at school.
I've been in a "mission" to evangilize kids and teenagers from a poor neighborhood of my city.(just 15 days). Maybe, I will do so again on April 2019.
Now, I'm a councilman in the department of Industrial Engineering of my University (but there is nothing to talk about it.. very few things i've done, as the university is waaay too much bureaucratic).
all community involvement
goals: I want to work in Private Equity or in Finance for a while. Or in petro companies, mining companies or in entertainment companies. Apart from that, I want to run my own company (I have many friends who can't find a job and , as I had the chance to study, I feel that I have the responsability to give them jobs, you know what I mean) And I believe that an MBA from HBS will provide me with the opportunities and mental capacity to start a company..
unique background factors: coming from an small city (2 million habitants, very few applicants or none at all) and an average family in terms of money?
other diversity factors:
any other special or relevant info (special sauce): I've been training hard at the gym since I was 13. When I was 19 I decided that I was going to compete, but as soon as I did, I got my back injured. Since then, I cannot lift heavy weights, making me unable to compete...
your best guess at what you will discuss in your main essay: MMM not sure yet, but the experience in the non gvt org or my back injured...
+++ I've been dating a brazilian girl (when I was in my holidays) and it was a really nice to share personal ideas with someone who thinks very differently..
I hope everything I wrote is helpful. Just let me now If you want to know something else.
