In this, and a couple of other boldface questions posted by
ExpertsGlobal, I've struggled to recognize the conclusion. A conclusion is a statement that has a solid
why or a how in passage, and I'm not sure if any of the statements presented here qualifies as a typical GMAT conclusion.

In the argument given, the two portions in boldface play which of the following roles?
(A) The first is the conclusion of the argument; the second is an opinion that provides support for that conclusion. The second is evidence, so incorrect
(B) The first is the conclusion of the argument; the second is evidence that provides support for that conclusion.
Correct(C) The first is a premise that provides support for the conclusion of the argument; the second is that conclusion.Second cannot be the conclusion of the argument
(D) Both are premises that support the conclusion of the argument.Statement 1 is the conclusion, incorrect
(E) Both are evidence that supports the conclusion of the argument.Again, statement 1 is not evidence, it is the conclusion
