Hi nycguymba,

First off, a 670/Q47 is a strong Score, so it could be enough to get you into your first-choice School. As such, a retest might not be necessary.

Based on the information in our prior messages, you took your first GMAT in April of 2019. GMAC 'limits' each Test-taker to no more than 5 attempts in any 12-month period (and 8 total attempts). If this is your 5th attempt (in less than a year), then you will not be able to retest until you have passed the 1-year 'anniversary' of your 1st Score (from late April).

Thanks Rich. Sorry for late response, I didn't get a notification. Really wish I could re-take the GMAT. I became too sleepy during my verbal (8am exam and couldn't sleep night before bc of stress).

I'm now studying for the GRE. I've been scoring 700+ in practice exams (for GMAT), so figured I've already put in so much work on GMAT, might as well just convert all my studying into something official while I'm at it.

Hi nycguymba,

You'll likely find that many of the skills that you used on the GMAT also apply to the GRE - although you will have to put some time in to increasing your vocabulary (since the GRE will 'test' your vocabulary knowledge in a number of different ways).

Have you taken a practice GRE yet? If you have, then how did you score? If not, then you can access 2 for free from www.gre.org)
