It took them exactly a week from the interview to the acceptance email. If you haven't received anything yet I'd blame it on the holiday season. Europeans tend to take two-week breaks at that time.

I am yet to receive the mail. I thought the same with regard to delay. Hope to receive the email soon. I am worried about the IE gat. I felt I did not do well. But as I got the interview call, I must have passed it.(???!!)

I got a call from IE today. Are the interviews just confirmatory or they are eliminatory. I mean what % of students clear the interview?

Hello everyone! I´m from Paraguay, 23 years old and I will be taking the exam on march 17th. Hopefully I will make it too Lol. About the interview tho, what sort of questions do they ask you? and how long is it?.

Hey Lorenarios. Let me start off by wishing you the best of luck.
The interview process for me was friendly and conversational. It was around 55 minutes. ADCOM just wants to know you better on a personal level in order to find out if you are a good fit for the business school. So nothing to worry!
It was like an HR interview. The interviewer asked about my short and long term objectives, why I chose IE and many such questions which you should have thought of while choosing and applying to the school. There were no business related questions ( may be it's because I am from a non-business background).
Know yourself, know your objectives, know your essays and know about the school!

just wanted to share my MiM application experience. Took the admission test in November and passed with average results. In January I took the Gmat and scored 580. Applied around the same time and got invited to an interview. Chose to do it in Madrid because I wanted to do a campus tour as well. I found the interview to be quite tough. It was conducted by two alumni and they asked me questions on what a successful leader needed to have now compared to hundred years ago, some more or less business related questions and two questions in Spanish about current political affairs (only because I indicated Spanish skills and have worked in Spain). (Of course it included the obligatory brain teaser where they asked what is 99/2) Then I should pick a field where I am an expert and explain it in a few minutes. I found that to be the hardest question because nothing in particular came to my mind immediately. I had to make some explanations about my grades as well which are very unbalanced. The interview took around one hour, maybe a little more.

The campus tour was quite nice. They showed us all the facilities and then invited us to lunch with some current students. I had to wait around two weeks for a follow-up and was invited to a second interview in the nearest IE office to me. It was a little more relaxed and took around an hour as well.

I got the negative result two days after. It was probably due to my mediocre academic record and my poor Gmat because I felt I did quite well during the interviews.

To start with, let me make it clear that the application process including the interview was pretty smooth and friendly. I took the IEgat in November and submitted my application in the same month (I took IEgat because IE was my target school and I did not want to prepare for GMAT amidst my busy schedule at college). I passed the test and took TOEFL and scored 104. They called me for an interview in December. (They did ask me to submit an additional essay) As I was having my finals at the same time, I had to delay the interview for a week. Finally, I had my interview on 17th December. Owing to the Christmas break, I got the conditional admission offer (I have to show the bachelors diploma and transcripts before the start of program i.e., September 1st) on January 12th. I officially got admitted a week later. I then applied for the financial aid only to be turned down two weeks later. Now waiting for the decision with regard to loan! Fingers crossed.

I am in for a second round of interview at IE (MIM program). Could any of you guys share the questions asked in the second round. Also, do a lot of people get rejected after a second round.

Background: My name is Raja and I am from India . I presently work and live in Singapore. Some time late last year, I started to think seriously about pursuing an MBA degree from a prestigious institution like ie for many obvious reasons. And so I thought of sharing my ie journey/story with you all( I am sorry if any of you may find it irrelevant)

In the context of ie:-
I am at a stage where I have completed by ie Executive MBA (Blended 80:20)application submission for Sep 2015 in take and awaiting my ieGAT in a couple of weeks time from now.I have spent fair amount of time researching online to prepare for ieGAT and I am pounded with constant message at every corner of the internet is there is really no way to prepare for ieGAT and in fact ie themselves say ieGAT does not need preparation. According to me this does not mean it is easy. so I kept looking for ways to prepare

In my quest, I stumbled upon "jobtestprep" which had some some sample ie type questions(about 40 Questions). I have been practicing with this for a week now. So far with the Test practice I could complete only 10 Questions in 40 minutes. Out of 10 I got 6 correct. I do not find the calculations difficult at all but the time needed. I seriously think my mock test performance is no way closer to the expectation of an average performance (assumption) expected. So I am worried ..

So I thought to quickly share my story with you all and get your best wishes(much needed at this time)

In case if any of you know any online resources that I can use to prepare for ieGAT please kindly share. A million thanks!
