These functions questions might look intimidating, but they just test your knowledge about how well you can substitute values
[[x]] = x^2 + 2x + 4
[[3]] = 3^2 + 2*3 + 4 = 19. Option D

For this problem simply plug in the given value "3" into the formula
f (3) = 3^2 + 2(3) + 4
f (3) = 9 +6 +4
