$$y = 24z = 2^3*3*z$$

$$a = 10z = 2*5*z$$

$$LCM (y, a) = 2^3*3*5*z = 120z$$

Hi,
y=24z may also imply that y is a three digit number with units place z...implying thereby
y= 242,243,245,247

why are we assuming that y=24z is 24*z....??
pl elaborate?

If it were a three-digit number it would have been explicitly stated. Without that 24z can only mean 24*z.
