If z is a prime number and y = 24z, then the least common multiple of y and 10z, in terms of z, is

A. 240z
B. 120z
C. 60z
D. 30z
E. 10z[/quote

Hi,
y=24z may also imply that y is a three digit number with units place z...implying thereby
y= 242,243,245,247

why are we assuming that y=24z is 24*z....??
pl elaborate?

If it were a three-digit number it would have been explicitly stated. Without that 24z can only mean 24*z.
