Hi guys, I took my gmat exam in April and scored 700 (Q44, V41). I retook it 2 more times and scored 690 and 680; I didn’t really have a solid study plan.
I want to score 720+. Honestly, I’ve already applied to some business schools so I won’t be using the score; it’s just something I want to achieve.
My main weakness is the quant part. I’ve already done many
gmatclub tests and questions from the question bank but I guess they didn’t help because I didn’t keep a good
error log. There are many resources out there and I’m leaning towards empowergmat.
What do you think?
Thanks,
You definitely wanna focus on improving your Quant score.
Do you run out of time at the end of Quant section? If so, improve on time management. For extremely hard questions, it may be a good idea to guess and proceed.
While the first 10 questions are important, I have to say that all questions are important.
In my GMAT test, I got 2 questions wrong in the first 8 questions (and another question wrong in the next 7-8 questions). Yet, because I only made one mistake in the 2nd half, I still got 50. And I frankly did not see any super-hard 800-level question probably because of mistakes upfront, but that is not necessarily bad thing if you are not aiming for 51. (I still had 10 minutes at the very end. So I should have been more careful in the first 10 questions. But just do not slow down too much at the beginning. )
Good luck!
