Hi All,
I'm at a point in my life, where I need to make a decision. Whether it's worth pursuing a top school Mba.
Most would say, why not?
For me, I start with a 5.1/10 Undergrad GPA at a top 10 Canadian University in Business with Mis.
I didn't value grades then, I see where I made a mistake. I currently work for Nielsen in the CPG industry and I am killing it here, in line for a promotion within the first 10 months {3 months in right now, manager has said he wants to promote me as soon as my project (which I was hired for and no one in Nielsen has ever done) }
I did the GMATPrep CAT yesterday with no prep got a 530 (Q32, V31).
I feel like I can max out the Gmat to a ridiculous score (quite confident since I've reviewed some questions of super high levels and feel with great diligence I can achieve it)
I'm just not sure if I will ever be admitted to schools that value their GPA average, my targets are below
Columbia (early)
Booth
Kellogg
Cornell
Tuck
(maybe Ross)
I guess I'm just looking for input. I've read multiple stories of people overcoming a 2.7, 2.8 but 2.33 (5.1/10) just seems insurmountable.
I have considered taking courses at University of Toronto (quant) to exhibit my skills (I can get A's I just didn't value it in UG).
Little more background, I just turned 25 in September and it took me 5 years to graduate from UG(weak quant grades). I'd be looking to apply earliest for Fall 2018, more likely Fall 2019.
I just know that if I want to do something, it must start now.
