MatEngineer
Hello all,
Hoping to tap into the overall experience and wisdom present on this forum.
I am an engineer (materials if it matters) with a master degree in engineering and about 7 years of professional experience across 3 different countries.
My career moves so far were lateral, rather than vertical, due to moving between countries and going back to school to do my masters.
I am now in a point where I am considering an EMBA (or part-time MBA) to pivot my trajectory towards more management positions, consulting or operations.
One of my options (potentially) is the Ivey EMBA program which I can accommodate while continue working full-time.
Assuming I can get in, do you think it's worthwhile? Anyone has some personal experience with the program or similar ones and can share the employability prospects after?
I assume that the majority of students will be managers looking to continue working for their companies and not necessarily looking for jobs.
Another option is part-time MBA, but I don't think it will help much in achieving the networking opportunities I need.
Any advice is very much appreciated.
If you want to shift your carrer, it is better to go with a full-time MBA rather than part-time or EMBA.
