Ivey MBA - 2022 Intake (Class of 2023)

Hi folks!

I received my admit from Ivey today.

Here’s my timeline:

March 3 - Submitted my application
March 4 - Received an interview invite
March 26 - Interview with Patricia Guzzo from the Career management team
April 14 - Received admission offer.

About me: 26, Female, Indian, 2 years 10 months experience in Strategy consulting, Graduated with a Bachelor’s in Mechanical engineering with a dual degree in Biological sciences from BITS Pilani (Tier-1 university in India), Toastmaster since 2.5 years, Professional violinist since 17 years.

Career goals: Corporate strategy in Automotive/Aerospace

About my interview: This was my first interview I’ve ever given so I was nervous but since I did a lot of prep (Ivey podcast, spoke to 7 alumni, did extensive research about the school & thanks to the million client calls I’ve been in), I was confident about my stories & my learnings. Patricia was amazing. I loved speaking with her. She made me feel extremely comfortable & even when she was asking details, I didn’t feel that she was probing. My interview was scheduled for 45 minutes but we ended up speaking for 90 minutes.

Hello all,

I am applying for March'22 intake in R3. I am yet to submit my video essay but have filled out other sections of the application form and also paid the fees. My referees got mailer to submit their response just the next day when I filled in their contact details.

How many days later after I submit my complete application can my referees submit their responses?

Please help.

Thanks Nikhil. Also is my understanding correct that they will have to submit responses within 2 weeks?

Was there any mention of that? If not, I think it is safe to assume that they have to submit the responses before the application deadline. saury2k can you help here?

Hey guys, I am new here.
Quick question- since admissions are rolling and I see R3 is open, does it have impact on scholarship? I am an international applicant so wanted to check if it is good idea to apply now or wait.

I don't think the scholarship will be impacted that much. The only issue would be the number of international student already enrolled, still a good profile and a great interview will cement your position.

Point to note here, Ivey gives huge weight on interview.

Hey all,

I have my first interview in this week. It might seem a naive question but as I am reading DO's and DONT's of admission interviews, what is the proper way to address interviewer? Is the usage of Sir/Ma'am recommended?

I work in US-based MNC and I am aware in corporate circles we can directly use names but what about b-school interviews?
