Hi everyone!

I recently received an admission offer from Richard Ivey for the session beginning in March 2022.

I was wondering if there is a https://gmatclub.com/chat group for the admitted students that I could be a part of.

Would appreciate the help.

Thank you.

Congrats Mehakwalia on the admit!

Ivey has a slack channel to which you will get an invite from your adcom. The channel contains admitted students and some current students who share insights on the program.

Cheers

Hello all,

I am applying for March'22 intake in R3. I am yet to submit my video essay but have filled out other sections of the application form and also paid the fees. My referees got mailer to submit their response just the next day when I filled in their contact details.

How many days later after I submit my complete application can my referees submit their responses?

Please help.

If the referee's got the email already, I think they can submit the LOR anytime before the application deadline. I don't think they need to wait for you to submit the complete application.

Thanks Nikhil. Also is my understanding correct that they will have to submit responses within 2 weeks?

Was there any mention of that? If not, I think it is safe to assume that they have to submit the responses before the application deadline. saury2k can you help here? :)

I re-visited the application form and found this :)

"We encourage you to request your reference as early as possible in the application process to allow your referees sufficient time to respond. Completed references must be received within two weeks of your application submission date."

Hi everyone.
I recently received an admit from Ivey Business School. I had one question: why does Ivey not have the AACSB accreditation (Rotman does btw), despite being a top business school? And what impact does this have on global recognition of the school?

Ivey MBA is not globally recognized. Rotman is globally recognized to a certain extent. If you DO NOT see your future in Canada would recommend considering other schools.

Hey guys, I am new here.
Quick question- since admissions are rolling and I see R3 is open, does it have impact on scholarship? I am an international applicant so wanted to check if it is good idea to apply now or wait.

I don't think the scholarship will be impacted that much. The only issue would be the number of international student already enrolled, still a good profile and a great interview will cement your position.

Point to note here, Ivey gives huge weight on interview.

Good luck!!

Hey all,

I have my first interview in this week. It might seem a naive question but as I am reading DO's and DONT's of admission interviews, what is the proper way to address interviewer? Is the usage of Sir/Ma'am recommended?

I work in US-based MNC and I am aware in corporate circles we can directly use names but what about b-school interviews?

Just keep calm and be relaxed. Prepare for whatever behavioural questions you could find over the internet and most importantly keep it conversational, the interviewer likes to know everything about you.

Finally, practice as much as possible before the interview, take help from your friends.

Don't worry, it will be much simpler than a job interview.

Good luck!!
