Hey saury2k, do you think Alpha420 s rejection is because of their internal caps for indian nationals is filled? I am just curious because as last round for international students is nearing which is at September 20? I just wanted to know because i thought of applying in Round 4 which as deadline in September 20 and Round 3 has it at July 10,.Ivey has it on Rolling basis, now I am confused. Do you suggest me to drop 2022 and go for others?

Posted from my mobile device

Yes you are right, Ivey follows rolling basis. Ivey generally has around 20-30percent Indians. Mostly Indians apply in the first half of the year.
What I'm saying, there is no point to rush and always more chances of getting accepted at the starting of the applications phase than towards the mid or end.

But Again, if ur confident on your profile and feel that you are ready with your application. Then go ahead.
All the best!!

Yes you are right, thanks saury2k , as a last question, I see that you are admitted for 2022, can you like share your profile? Not in drpth but just like gpa, gmat/gre ? I just want to see an accepted persons profile, thanks. If you don't want to share it no problem, I totally understand you mate

I've got 6+ years of workex in analytics and data science industry. My GMAT score is 690.
To understand and analyse the admission pattern I would suggest to look at the GMAT club Ivey page, lot of us actually update our status on regular basis.

Do let me know in case of any other query or help.

Hi saury2k, my profile is pretty average just like Alpha420, I have this one last doubt, as per ivey guidelines, it says to wait till next year for applying, so, if I do it now and get rejected, I will have to wait 1 year more from applying date. So, I cant apply for 2023 in January. I am guessing if I do now, I might lose chance atleast with good odds for 23 with my avg profile. What do you guys think?

I think with one year they mean that next application cycle. (Please confirm this).

But from a reapplicant they would expect some kind of improvement, that could include GMAT score, promotion, more responsibility.

Good luck!!

That is true, they expect responsibility from reapplicant. Practically speaking, I guess I will refrain doing it for 2022. If I wanna get in, I better do it with ofdds in my favour. Thanks saury2k bschoolhunter Alpha420

RamFromIndia : Thanks for appreciating. It helps to boost confidence. I received verdict after interview. I must mention that interview went quite well and interviewer was apparently happy with responses. That actually added to my skepticism about the result. Hope that gives you fair idea.

bschoolhunter : Thanks for your kind words. Prepping to break a leg in other applications.

I got rejected in Round 2 after an amazing interview. The feedback was the same: profile not as competitive.
Stats: Indian Male, 25 YO, 3 Years Work Ex Deloitte with multiple promotions, 730 GMAT.

I think it is because they have already reached the cap for Indian students. What other schools are you planning to apply to?

Hey mittalbwoy,

Sorry to hear your reject. Other schools I am planning to apply are for Rotman 2022 which starts accepting apps this September(?) For 2022. Other schools in my view are Sauder school where apps open at Aug 2021 for 2022, Desautls school of management(not sure on deadlines),

Hi RamFromIndia

Happy to be of help :)

Also if you are fine to try other schools you can apply to them in R2( Jan 22). The decision will come around Mar 22. Parallelly in Jan 22 you can apply to Ivey for intake Mar 23. You should get both the decisions around the same time. This might help you decide with all options open.

Good luck with your applications!

Hi All ,

I am glad to share that I have submitted my application @ IVEY for 2022 MBA intake. Shall keep you all updated about my progress.

Here's the Kira Talent questions that I faced :
Prep Time 30 seconds// Answer time : 1 minutes

- Tell us about a time you were overwhelmed with work. How did you manage things and what did you do?
- If you were to start a company, what would be its top three values?

Hope this helps future applicants.

Hi Thor Hammer
I applied to Ivey this Sunday and have received my Interview Invite. If you are confident about your application, GMAT and profile, no harm in giving your best. We shall never know, if we don't apply!!! So take the news that Ivey is full for March 2022 and they have no place with a pile of salt. :D

Ivey website has a lot of information wrt applications and the school culture - Webinars and blogs.
The recorded webinars have been a great help in my application journey.
Here's a link to the pre-recorded webinars page :
https://www.ivey.uwo.ca/mba/admissions/ ... -sessions/

Good luck and Godspeed with your applications , IVEY has a rolling admissions process so you can apply whenever you are ready and do get in touch with adcomms through the profile eval link on the website, you would get a lot of assistance from the admissions office about the next steps.

All the Best!!!

Hi,

I shall be interviewing next week with Prateek Malhotra from Ivey Career Management Centre.
Would be grateful to know if anyone on the this thread interviewed with him.
Would also welcome general tips to prepare for the interview.

Hi Hrish
While I havent interviewed with him I can suggest the following broad pointers:

1. Focus on your story and try splitting it into distinct segments.
2. Focus on a cause-action- result approach.
3. The podcasts/ videos shared by adcom will help you prepare a framework. So hear them out.
4. Brush up on current trends (past couple of weeks) in Canada. If you can speak to trends in Ontario or your preferred recruiting location it would be better.
5. Relax! Once the interview starts you will be at ease so dont let anxiety build up.

Good luck with the interview!
