There would be no problem getting F1 visa. I know atleast ten close friends who did the same. Take it easy ! And relax :)

Also, I am assuming you were not talking about having both at once ;) that you can't do and I don't see why you would like to do that :)

Done with my interview with Katie Dunn. It was a 32 mins conversation. Since I was giving crisp and to-the-point answers, she asked me a lot of questions. Some (I do not remember 1-2 questions) of them are-

1) Walk through my resume.
2) She wanted to know more about my time I was in US for work.
3) My career goals
4) How does UNC fit into those goals.
5) Do I work in team? and if yes, what are my roles in that team?
6) What are the challenges you face while working in a team?
7) What do you think makes a successful team?
8) If you could change one thing from undergrad to present, what would it be? ( I told that I could have taken up some course in Physics, as I love Physics)
9) Why Computer Science? (I am a computer science graduate)
10) In your professional life, what is one thing that you want to improve, and what have you done for it?
11) What do you do in your spare time?
12) How do you take care of work-ethics at John Deere? (I did not understand the question well, so was not able to answer it properly)

Then, Any questions that I may have. I asked 2 questions, one professional and one non-professional.

Over all it was less of a conversation and more of a ques-ans session. She told me in the beginning that we have only 30 mins. Over all she was nice and did not grill me too much. :) :) :) :)

Thanks for sharing your experience!! N all the best for the result!

Thanks. Finger-crossed for the result. Any ideas how I can get the email address of my interviewer? Who interviewed you?

Well I would say try looking up your interviewer's name in the school's directory or you could ask the admissions office to share her mail id.

I am yet to submit my application, but I have reached out to an alumnus to conduct my interview. He has asked me to contact him again in the first week of Dec. I hope he is able to find time for the interview. I will keep you updated. :)

Anyone interviewed with alumni in New Delhi (India)?

I'm inclined towards an in-person interview rather than Skype/telephone... I think I'm more comfortable this way.

Shirt and a tie is advised. You can also put on a suit.

Hi Kaustubh,

I too am trying to get interviewed by an alumnus in Mumbai. However, I will get a confirmation on the same from the alumnus in the first week of dec. What's the status with you? Have you contacted an alumnus?

I'm planning for first week December too.
Or maybe even next week, if Delhi alums are free... ;)

Hi Guys,

I had my skype interview with an assistant director yesterday.
1. Walk me through your resume.
2. What are the challenges that you have faced at work
3. Why MBA? Why UNC?
4. Long term & short term goals
5. Extra curricular activities.

Overall it was a good interview, the interviewer made me feel comfortable.
ATB to rest of you guys :-)

Don't worry about the request not being accepted.. Their contact list will get quite messy if they were to accept the skype request from every student they interview... My interview is over and my request still has not been accepted... :)

@MacFauz: Thank you so much!

One more question, will the interviewer initiate the call or do we have to initiate it?

The interviewer will initiate the call.. I would recommended being ready about 10-15 minutes prior to the scheduled time just in case..
