First of all congratulations on your acceptance to both the Business school. It is indeed an accomplishment to be accepted to two of the best business schools in the world.
Although I agree with the reasons given by my fellow GMAT clubbers, I believe choosing LBS would be a great choice for you.
1- Location- London is one of the most exciting cities I have visited. London is the quintessential global city. The gateway to the European Union, London is headquarters to a third of the world’s largest companies. Every leading institution in the world is represented here. Its location brings the school massive benefits of having access to some of the best recruiters in the world. LBS in located in the heart of London just a stone throw away from the famed Regen’ts Park. Almost all the top recruiters in the world coma and Recruit at LBS. Although I understand that you’d like to return to Tech, I believe it’s nice to have options. I believe in terms of Location, LBS >> Cornell, which is about 4 hour drive to the heart of New York City.
2- Alumini Network. LBS has one of the strongest Alumni Networks in the world, matched only by some. LBS has a large global community of over 42,000 successful business professionals in more than 155 countries. One can truly benefit from having a lifelong access to one of the best alumni networks.
3- Teaching Approach- At LBS the case study method accounts for a third of the class work, with lectures taking up another third, and team projects making up about 15% of the workload. There’s a heavy emphasis on teamwork and collaboration at LBS. You spend a lot of time with the five or six people carefully chosen to be in your study group. As much as half of your first year grade is based on team work. Further every student at LBS must graduate with competency in one language other than English. I believe you will develop strong bonds with your class mates.
4- Rankings- LBS is a clear winner here. It is constantly ranked as one of the best Business schools in the world, competing with the likes of Harvard and Stanford. In fact it is ranked as the best International Business school (outside US) by Bloomberg Businessweek’s MBA ranking 2016.
5- Recruitment- LBS attracts some of the world’s most favoured employers to recruit it’s students: McKinsey, Boston Consulting Group, Barclays, Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Google among others hiring a big chunk of the class. Last year, more than 185 companies recruited LBS MBA’s which is 5 % higher than in 2015 and 30 % higher than in 2014 with a mean salary increasing to £77,693, up from £76,127 in 2015. Further there has been no change in the Number of graduates staying back in UK (52%) for their jobs post graduation. This clearly shows that Brexit has had no effect on the recruitment of LBS grads. In addition to this 16% of the graduates took up jobs in rest of the Europe and ~7% going to the US, leaving you plenty of options to choose from. Further, 23 % of the graduates took up jobs in Technology sector in 2016 a 3% increase from the 20% in 2015 vs. 12% of the graduates going in Technology in Cornell.
Hope this helps. All the Best.
