Keep us updated.

Ankur, do you have to submit the TOFEL score too along with the application?

Thanks,
Ankit Kaushik

Sure Ankit! I have got an opportunity to present myself through a video presentation, after which I'd proceed to the interview stage.
I suppose you should have submitted your TOEFL score separately and share a Score Report to the School as part of your Application package. I had taken IELTS and did similarly.

Thanks
Ankur

Hey Ankur, I am taking the GMAT on 13th Dec. After that I'll register for IELTS/TOFEL.

I know that MBS require 100 marks in TOFEL, what should be the IELTS score?
Any idea which exam would be better, TOFEL or IELTS?

And one more thing without TOFEL/IELTS score, can I apply for MBS? I'll submit the TOFEL score later.

I know I have asked way too many questions, if time permits, kindly do reply.

Thanks,
Ankit Kaushik

Hey Ashutosh,

Job opportunity wise EU is nice, but you may have to be fluent in the local language to increase your chances of getting a job.

Hope it helps.

Hey Ankit! All the very best for your exam. You can submit your application without the TOEFL/IELTS score and can mention the same as well when you apply. You could tkae either of the two and I guess you could take either of the two and meet the cut-off (7 Band for IELTS - could go higher to maximise chances of Scholarships but not very sure about it).

Thanks

Hey Prakash,

As informed by Ankur above in this post, we can submit our application without TOFEL.

Since you have submitted the application on 30th only (2 working days ago), I would suggest that you wait till End of this week.

Thanks,
Ankit Kaushik

But guys it is still not clear whether TOEFL or IELTS is mandatory.

As per the University, TOFEL score is not required if your under grad degree is in English.
But for VISA application, you need to submit TOFEL/IELTS scores.

So it's mandatory to take TOFEL/IELTS too.

Hope it helped.

The interview is simple. will last 30-40 mins. they want to know about your past work, why you need an MBA, why now? What next? short-term long-term goals.
What research have you done so far? Your skills or inclination towards learning German language? International exposure?

There can be offshoots from these questions depending on how you respond. But otherwise it revolves around your life, personality and application.

Hi, you could apply without TOEFL / IELTS if your undergrad degree and WE are in English language.
Don't think you will need to wait till December. But definitely check with them.

I have had similar conversations with alums across European Schools and I agree, a lot of it comes from your own initiation and ability to be proactive and see opportunity

Response regarding your questions:
1. Letter of motivation (professional and personal reasons for wanting to participate in the Mannheim MBA program; one page only)
2. In your opinion, what differentiates us from other programs?

for Question 1 - you will have to list your motivation to do MBA and then why Mannheim (how will you and the school benefit from each other)
for Question 2 - you will have to draw a subtle comparison between Mannheim and other schools you think are probable fits for you, depending on your choice, industry, geography, etc.
