This is the message received by one of my candidates who has a 3Y UG from Delhi Univ: Dear XXX,

Your message regarding graduate eligibility has been referred to me. Please be advised the Graduate and International Admissions Center requires for graduate consideration a first degree from overseas comparable to the US four year bachelor’s degree. This office does not consider the three year bachelor’s degrees from India (or Germany, France, Sweden, Denmark, Poland, Pakistan, etc.) to be fully comparable to the US bachelor’s degrees. This has been our policy for the last 45 years and we have compiled a list of comparable degrees which we put on our website some five years ago:

In addition to the two circumstances listed there we also would accept a BEd, LLB, or PG Diploma from an AICTE or UGC recognized institution on top of a three year degree. We of course are not able to speak to policies at other institutions but our policy is similar to that found at many other universities.

This individuals seems to have a bachelor’s degree, 3 year from University of Mumbai. But again, he is a CA so, can’t comment.

Again, it’s important to note that these are CAs. Rest of the people from India, non CA - either have a 4 years in engineering or have done their Masters

Hey, how influential is the video interview for getting an interview call. I think i was a bit overwhelmed during the interview and was messed up my timing a bit.

As per my understanding, there’s no interview invite. The only other remaining touchpoint is the optional peer interview now - after which everyone needs to wait till the decision date.

that means that video interview is a pretty big deal

can international students apply in R3 and still be considered for scholarships?

Has anyone received an email for the optional peer interview? How do we register for that?

i haven’t received an email but if you go to the next steps hub in the application portal, you can signup for an interview

What’s the significance of peer interview on acceptance?

It is significant, they say its optional, these interviews are collaborative. Definitely schedule one and establish good rapport with the current student. Let me know if you have any questions. Happy to help

Hi, I received the peer interview email yesterday.

When I checked yesterday there were a lot of free slots but I just logged in today to book a session and all the slots were gone.

Any idea if they will open up more slots?

Or are there only limited slots available?

Dont know about deadlines but ensure that you hgave interviewed with them before Feb 17

Any rationale behind this because I see slots open till March 3.
