Finally, I'm writing this debrief. I thought GMAT is a major hurdle, but I was wrong. Writing essays and preparing for interviews is a tougher task.
My 2nd GMAT attemptThere it was 700, written in front of me. I was ecstatic. All the hard work had finally paid off.
What I did differently this time??1. e-GMATThey have a really awesome course. Their emphasis on meaning for SC and pre-thinking for CR was the key element that made a lot of difference. Even for RC you can use pre-thinking for inference questions.
My verbal score increased from 24 to 36!
If you're only
e-GMAT verbal student or are no student of theirs at all, I would still suggest register on their website and take advantage of scholorium. It can pinpoint your weak areas upon which you can work later on.
2. gmatclub testsI did not give tests, however, I used the platform quite extensively by giving a lot of quizzes. I can thank them, as
gmatclub tests have a major contribution in my Quant Score increase - 47 to 49.
I did not do anything specific for IR section, though I did watch videos on the
e-GMAT platform, I think with time IR section becomes easier on its own. As for AWA, there are various templates available on the net.
I must also thank
bb , @bunnel and
VeritasPrepKarishma, for their answers have helped me get a better understanding of how to think to solve problems quickly. Karishma has written some wonderful articles to improve Quant abilities.
Though I won't be giving GMAT for the 3rd time, I'll keep on answering questions in the forum, since I believe solving tough CR or SC questions is my new hobby!

PS: Never ever take a test at Pune Center - it's a fish market. I partially blame them for my low score in 1st attempt.
For the second attempt, I choose the center at Mumbai.
