This is exciting. Looking forward to this! Can't attend DAK sadly as I have a training I'll be in over that weekend.

Keen to know how everyone is looking to fund this mammoth?

Congrats to all the admits. The journey is only going to get exciting going forward. As a current Kellogg student, I can help you guys if you have any questions going forward. Post your questions here so that they can help others in the same position.

Congrats again and good luck.

I have no clue how I'm going to fund it yet. Do they accept hopes and prayers as payment?

Hello everyone! I was just going through Kellogg's employment report for 2016, and I was wondering why Kellogg doesn't report "other guaranteed compensation" numbers like a lot of the other schools do. Anyone have any insights on this?

Was going through funding options. Doesn't look like a lot of scholarships for non-US citizens. Or is that just me?

Also does anyone know what the outcome generally is after filing the financial aid application? Are scholarships given or just loans? If scholarships is there an idea of what that looks like?

Unfortunately, scholarships for international students are scarce. Most of the time, international students will be given loans (usually at competitive rates) rather than scholarships. Financial aid application will let you be selected for the loans.

As for scholarships, if you did not receive it with the admit letter, then unfortunately, you did not receive it.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

This is helpful. Thank you.

So the financial aid application will most probably just return a loan rather than a scholarship + loan?

Does the loan cover the entire cost of the attendance or is it more like a portion and then covering the rest via a private loan?

Good question. It depends on how much savings you show and how much you are planning to borrow. You will get to see all this information when you get the post admit related emails by early Jan. Generally, if you take the graduate housing, your loan usually covers both tuition and living but if you don't opt for graduate housing, your loan may only cover a portion of tuition + living expenses. I wont be able to tell you what total amount you will get as Kellogg fin aid department has a formula of sorts that it uses to figure out the disbursement amount.

Hope this helps.

Usually, if they didnt let you know of scholarship, then you did not/will not get any. But you can look at certain scholarships that may fit your profile: https://www.kellogg.northwestern.edu/pro ... ships.aspx

Does kellogg provide atleast upto 80% of COA loans to international students? If I am not wrong, international students have only one loan option (something called option B) if they don't have US based co-signer. Does Kellogg offer substential loan covering ~80% of COA with this loan?
