Need Help on Major Pacing Problem - Any Resources? (Quant Only)
Hi Everyone,
I pretty much always get a really solid score on the Verbal section (41-44) with no pacing problem, but seem to really struggle with the Quant. Since I've studied all the concepts front-to-back and don't seem to get intimidated by any of the material on the test, I think my problem is nearly 100% a pacing problem.
Sometimes I have to guess on questions to catch up on time, sometimes I leave 1 question at the end unanswered, or other times I fear I am spending too much time on a very difficult question (that I know how to solve!) that takes away from the time I could spend making sure I get all of the Easy ones right.
I'm thinking my best bet is to use as many GMAC practice tests and questions as possible and to also complete problems in a time environment, hopefully in 75 minute chunks. I know there are a limited number of official GMAC questions and they aren't always presented at random, sometimes they are presented in escalating level of difficulty.
If anyone has any good resources for pacing, I'd really love to check them out! I've already exhausted Empower GMAT and Manhattan Prep.
Here's the time scale I've been working off of (from Empower GMAT): On the 10th Question have 50-55 minutes left, On the 20th have 30-35 minutes, On the 30th have 10-15 minutes.

Have you tried the GMAT club quant tests? These are good for practice. A little disclaimer - these are tougher than the actual GMAT but the answer explanations will help you build some shortcuts Say questions such as 3^n , what is the maximum value of n in 30! and right angle triangles (3,4,5),(6,8,10), (5,12,13) will save you time if you know the shortcuts. To start with : 1. Try the Daily GMAT quiz 2. Try one GMAT club test More importantly , see the discussion thread on how people solve these problems. There are some important tricks that would help you save time. Also when you have time check this - https://www.gmatclub.com/forum/veritas-prep-resource-links-no-longer-available-399979.html#/2015/0 ... wrong-way/
Regarding time management: I suggest that you manage your time in batches of 5 questions. To that end, you can use the following Milestone Charts to keep you on track: These times are easily remembered so you can quickly jot them on your noteboard on test day.
