Sir,
I have been studying for GMAT for 2 months now.
I plan to give exam in February.
I have given the following practise exams on GMATPrep on following dates with the below division wise scores:
Date - 31st August
Score- 460
V25 Q27
Date - 1st October
Score - 450
V23 Q28
Date - 22nd October
Score - 470
V22 Q32
I have completed the MGMAT Foundations Maths Books leaving chapters 8, 9 & 10.
I have completed the following topics in Quant on Magoosh watching videos
General Maths Strategies, Arithmetic, Algebra & Inequalities, Percents and Ratios, Integer Properties, Power and Roots.
I have also watched all the at the Magoosh portal for RC and CR. Have not watched any video of SC.
This topic is left to do first revision.
I have done approx 200+ quant questions and 150+ verbal verstions from Magoosh Premium.
My Magoosh score predictor is coming 650-700 as I gave gotten 80% accuracy in the above questions.
But still I am stuck at 470 on the GMATPrep exams. I though I would be able to get atleast in 550 range by now.
Today when I gave GMAT exam I did not even have time to finish last 15 questions of Verbal section.
My topics left for first revision are
Statistics , Counting, Probability, Word Problems, Geometry, Coordinate Geometry and Sentence Correction.
Please help me. I really need to get 710+ by February. It is a mater of life and death for me
If I dont get a score of 700 by February, my life is over.
I will give a little insight about today's exam.
In Quant section I got 14 problems wrong.
They covered the following topics
1. Ratios and Percents
2. Probability
3. Coordinate Geometry
4. Geometry
5. Word Problems
In Quant I got 18 problems wrong.
7 in SC.
6 in RC
5 in CR

You've answered your own question. If you don't complete the test, the GMAT punishes you for it! That's because it's not trying to answer these questions:
1. What are the hardest problems you can possibly answer?
2. How many questions can you get right, in total?
The test algorithm doesn't really care about either of those things. The hardest difficulty you can answer is completely irrelevant to your score, and the number you get right is almost completely irrelevant (there's some correlation with your score, but it's small). Actually, the test is trying to answer this question:
3. How good are your executive reasoning skills?
There are a number of skills that fall under the 'executive reasoning' umbrella. They include:
- Being aware of how hard a question is
- Choosing intentionally whether to do the question or guess on it
- Knowing when to 'cut your losses' versus spending some extra time
- Time management

Also, this is not a matter of life or death. The worst case scenario is that you have to go be successful somewhere other than business school. Millions of people are able to do that. Putting that kind of pressure on yourself will make your score worse, so you have to find a way to stop doing it.

But for me, its a matter of life and death.
There is no other way other than Business School for me.
I have almost completed Foundations in Maths of MGMAT.
Will complete rest of the Quant topics and focus on touching 40+ in quant.
In verbal, I was trying to excel.
Now will do only SC and CR questions and carefully screen RC questions on which I can do and guess on 2 passages.
So, I maybe able to save 5-7 minutes for a passage I can do.
As there are 3 passages in RC.
