Are percentiles in GMAT taken into considering, or just the overall score?
Hello! Good question. We look at the entirety of the test score, including percentiles, however we focus on the highest overall score.

Hi! I had a few essay related questions. For the "What are your short-term career goals?" essay do I want to mention why at all? For example should I connect it to past experience and / or long term goals? :)
Hi! Personally, I chose to add a little detail on why my short-term goals were what they were, and connected that to my past work experiences so that the reader could have some context, but there’s no one correct way to approach that question.

Hi guys,
what would you suggest to avoid and to highlight in the "Essay 1: Change: _________ it"? Of curse the choice of the word is personal, but any suggestion about the content of the essay is very well welcomed.
Thank you in advance for your answer.

Hi Matthew and Erika, thank you for taking the time!

Based on your experience observing students, what do you think is the most important characteristic of successful Sternies during and beyond their time at Stern?

THanks Maya, Did you ask them to write about any specific "incident"? Or you just communicated the broader topics that he/she should focus on?
I just communicated broader topics that I thought were important to highlight to them since they might’ve forgotten, but ultimately didn’t ask them to write anything specific

Hi Maya, thank you for taking the time! Looking back, what are some things you wish you did/glad you did after being admitted and before entering Stern?
Hi! I’d say one of the things I’m really glad to have done is work on my resume. Stern actually has programming that starts in the summer from the Careers team called IGNITE that makes sure your resume is completely ready to go upon entering Stern so that you can hit the ground running once you’re here. Otherwise, I’m honestly really glad that I took some time off to relax before getting incredibly busy my first semester :)

Can you throw more light on the IGNITE part? How does Careers support?

What are some things you wish you had known before starting your MBA program?

Does application fee waiver have any impact on the chances of getting an admit?
Hello! Thank you for your question! Candidates who request or receive a fee waiver are part of a holistic review process and are not considered differently. For more about the fee waiver visit: https://www.stern.nyu.edu/programs-admi ... ee-waivers

hi, i have read about standardized test waiver here https://www.stern.nyu.edu/programs-admi ... ized-tests if I might not be able to take any gmat / gre test, could I apply for this waiver?
Hi! Anyone is welcome to apply for a test waiver, however if you aren’t granted a waiver a score will need to be submitted, but we do accept a range of tests outside of the GMAT/GRE
