Hi guys,
what would you suggest to avoid and to highlight in the "Essay 1: Change: _________ it"? Of curse the choice of the word is personal, but any suggestion about the content of the essay is very well welcomed.
Thank you in advance for your answer.

Hi Sternies, thanks for the opportunity. I wanted to understand how you managed your recommenders, how did you get them to write some specific info that you wanted them to without explicitly spelling it out for them. I am not able to decide how much involvement is too much involvement. Also, is applying in R2 to Stern as an international applicant advisable?

Hi everyone and thanks for the questions! Excited to start the session with Stern Students and I think we will have an AdCom representative. 😇

Doing a text chat is a pretty old school to do also curious to see how it will work in 2023.

Hello everyone, I have attempted GMAT last month and managed to get a score of 650. My aim is to score 700+ on the gmat. I understand that I need to improve my verbal score(V31) for getting to my dream score. In my preparation for GMAT last time, I practised all the official questions and solved tons of other questions (mostly from egmat). I am planning for a second attempt in the month of January. Can anyone suggest me how can I channel my preparation this time so that I can achieve my dream score ?

Is it important to have a leadership position or work in a large company to have a better shot for admission? If we don’t, how can we strengthen our profile?

Thanks for the question. We are about to start the Stern Student Q&A Chat here. I would say the best approach would be to look at your weaknesses, your mistakes, your error log or maybe you just know and specifically identify areas that need to be improved. Perhaps consider only the Focus that has CR and RC only without SC but you want to focus on studying material (not solving questions) that is relevant to your weaknesses. You have to know the material and only check it with questions. So focus less on solving and more on studying.
