Work experience: 6 years as Data Scientist. Machine Learning AI. Have been part of an Indian IT company, US Telecom Giant, and currently in a UK-based Pharma company(active covid vaccine makers) in Operations. I have lead a team in my previous organisation.
This can go against me as my current resume is too technical. Hardcore tech AI terms. I am someone who codes, present and talk to clients. But generally, I boast of my tech skills to get a job. Also, except a couple of projects, all my projects have ended up being proof of concepts, i.e. research but never made money for the business.
International Exposure: I have dealt with Clients and Business, and have been in China and Japan for 1 month each. (I can speak basic Japanese.)
Co-Cirricular: Have 19 awards (can not mention everything even in resume) at National Level Tech. Symposiums (Paper Presentation, Quiz, Circuit debug etc) when in college. Won 2 hackathons at work.
Extra Curricular: Been teaching underprivileged children as part of CSR program from organization. And have been part of cleaning drives. Participates in marathon/chess/dance occasionally.
I talked with a senior, and he says I have a huge compitetion with the typical Indian IT male bucket. Also, I feel my skills are too technical for MBA. Could you tell me what could be my chances and how should I change my resume for NUS? Any advice is welcome.

I would firstly like to say that you have a pretty competitive profile.
To commence your profile evaluation, I would say that your academic background is quite strong. Your GPA of 4.0 not only displays your academic prowess but also opens a lot of opportunities and doors to top business schools for you.
Coming onto your work experience, you have extensive work experience of 6 years as a Data scientist. Your exhaustive work experience as a data scientist is one of the strong suits of your profile as not only does it allow you to have an upperhand in the technical and data based world of business but also can be used as a great pitch as to why you need an MBA to help you gain a holistic understanding of the business world and fill in the gaps of your managerial skills.
You haven’t mentioned any brand names in your profile so i can't comment on their relevance. The brand name definitely plays a major role in an application as you’d be competing with applicants from the top schools and big4 companies. To negate the lack of big brand names, talking about the kind of projects you have undertaken, the impacts you created and your career progression with major learning takeaways would definitely showcase the quality of your work and establish you as no less than a big4 candidate.
Moreover, another salient feature of your profile is having international experience which highlights your broadened perspective and adaptability skills.
You have undertaken a fair share of extracurricular activities as well. Winning so many awards for hackathons and tech competitions definitely highlights the breadth of knowledge you possess in your domain. Your CSR initiatives highlight your proactive attitude and your capability to use your skills to bring forth a positive impact on the society. While other activities such as dance, chess etc, showcase your holistic development in all fronts.
Overall I would say that you have a pretty holistically developed profile. Your GMAT score target however seems to be on the lower end. Raising the target to 690 and above would definitely allow you to target much better and most of the top schools around the globe.
Given your profile, you have a 50-60% chance of getting into the NUS MBA program. However, when applying to B schools it is a better strategy to hedge your bets wisely and apply to a mixed bunch of 6-8 schools. You can target schools such as:
Dream: Duke, Cornell, LBS, NYU etc
Competitive: University of Notre Dame, Essec, FSFM, USC Marshall etc
Safe: Grenoble, Skema, Kedge, EDHEC etc.
All said and done, as you would be competing with other candidates with similar strong profiles, it becomes imperative that you craft an application that successfully highlights not only your calibre but also your potential to add value to the school. Your application most certainly poses as the base criteria of boosting your chances of winning an admit.
