Clear admit has one acceptance and one release too... Not sure of the sample size there. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a large overlap in candidates between both forums. Posted from my mobile device

I think you're right. The activity on clearadmit today for HBS waitlist appears to be diminished compared to yesterday... if the number of people waiting remained the same, I would think the heightened anxiousness would have led to more posts, not less. I am guessing if people who have reached closure one way or another are not inclined to post an update. All optimistic hypothesizing though. I guess we'll know soon! That's a comforting thought! However, I am not sure its true, very surprising to only have 1 released candidate here and on clearadmit (from the details of the posts it sounds like it was the same person). I definitely feel like we would have heard from more people by now. Then again, I was also certain that today would be the big release day what with the whole "beginning of the week" part of the email. At this point who knows whats going on.

Also keep in mind there's a big snowstorm in the Northeast US tomorrow - Boston can get up to a foot of snow (which would mean classes are canceled and administrative staff stay home). Not sure what that does to calls / releases... maybe push to Friday. If anyone from Dillon House is reading this... a hint? =). Stay safe tomorrow

Since there are only 5-6 of us in here, and probably the same 5-6 across clear admit...maybe all of us are under the "wait list extension" or "acceptance" group. It is a legitimate possibility. I think people who got reels see already would not have felt like posting, as it is an extremely difficult decision to digest.

Well, the e-mail stated "Starting the beginning of next week, we plan to release" - i.e., releases can take place at any time from the beginning to the end of the week (and the upcoming weeks). On the other hand, "we anticipate making offers of admission at the end of next week" may imply that either today or tomorrow there will be some extra movement. Hopefully more of us will receive the good news tomorrow

True, but I got the impression that releases would be completed before acceptances were sent out; this also makes sense since both lists are linked. Agree on acceptances going on Thursday/Friday. I hope we're not in the dreaded wait list extension group, that's honestly the worst of the 3 options
