I'm sorry for quoting this but my GMAT may be misleading : I also submitted the GRE (331; 166V, 165M) which probably was weighed more heavily than my GMAT which is just about average for the school.

Hey guys,

I had a question regarding the access to wolverine account. I followed the instructions and set up UMfriend account first. I received two emails. First one is "Your U-M Friend Account Request" and second one is "U-M: Your New Friend Account". I didn't get anything that includes my UMID to access wolverine account. Did I do anything wrong setting up the account? Thanks for the help.

Mine was in the email they sent today under the "ready to enroll" section. But it's the same number I had when I was an undergrad there so there's a possibility that yours gets set up differently...

Denied after interview.
Was really expecting to get in with a scholarship. I thought my stats 740, 3.5 GPA, and unique work experience stood out and my interview went really well. Must have had a different experience than my interviewer. Congrats to all who were admitted!

i think ding or waitlist at any school does not imply much about how well you did, so no need to blame yourself to much.

Just to give an example, i got waitlisted at Ross which is top 10, got dinged without interview by a top 29 school, while at the same time got 3 full rides at top 17-25 schools and partial scholarship at top-27 school. Given that quality of applications and interviews was uniform (as in my case), this pattern basically tells us that there is random factor involved here. I've heard some people get dings from top 25 and get into top 10.

Some adcoms might fall in love with this unusual characteristic of yours, and others may be totally unimpressed for whatever reasons. Or, just by chance, there may be another applicant having this same unusual characteristic but with slightly higher gmat or coming from an underrepresented group.

New Student Check-In (Required)
Students must attend one of these check-in days . Please note that all students must be in Ann Arbor by Friday, August 3rd unless you need to be here earlier for other programs (Accounting Prep, Ross International Student Orientation, EBS).
