Hey! Done that already. The extended deadline is in 3 days

Well, in that case I would probably request an early decision. After all you have a good reason, you would love to join Ross, is your first choice, but you can’t miss your safe school. I don’t know what they will answer but I think it’s reasonable. And decisions have probably already been made, but they need time to go through documents, validate records, and so on.
That's not how this works. Asking for an early decision to me suggests you think you're someone who is exempt from the process that every other candidate goes through and a general lack of awareness. If the deadline is in 3 days and you want that as a safety school you pay that money to hold your spot. This is the only option that will work.
I would completely disregard this last post. I doubt that if you ask politely, that an ADCOM would feel you think you're entitled. The real question is would it hurt any chance of being admitted? As long as you're polite, I doubt it. And I love the absolute statement "This is the only option that will work." I highly doubt mbamsay is any more an authority on the matter than you or I.
ADCOMs are people, too. I'm sure they can relate to the fact that you want to save some money. They may still say no, but I don't think they're going to be as judgmental as mbamsay and hold it against you.[/quote]
I agree with this. I really doubt that they will say yes because many applicants are in a similar position with round 1 vs round 2 schools. However I don’t think it will hurt your application to ask. In general, I believe that people on the forums can be a bit over cautious on what will or will not make a difference. Ad coms do not have time to scrutinize every detail of every thing that you do. They are looking for big picture characteristics that allow them to see who you are and whether or not you fit with their community.
