A recent survey examined the working arrangements of households of married couples with no children. It was found that 82% of the households had at least one working member. In 30% of the household with the women not working, the man also does not work. In 60% of the households in which the man doesn’t work, the woman also does not work. What is the probability that both the man and the woman work?

A. 13%
B. 22%
C. 28%
D. 32%
E. 34%

Please can someone help me to solve this..

Distance/Rate problems are mildly common. I would expect 1 per exam, maybe 2

Those are free points though.

yes i’m aware of the distance rate problems
But there are many sub sections in distance rate, like linear race, circular race, Two objects passing each other at 1 point etc etc
And escalator problems are a part of distance rate as well
So my question was if it can be considered a core part of the syllabus? If yes, then i’ll study for them, if not then i’ll focus on other stuff

Priyanshu2807
60?
it wasn’t a doubt, i was asking if such questions(escalator problems) are asked in GMAT or not

If you want a false sense of security, you can believe that gmatclub quant is harder :upsidedown

Having written the GMAT thrice, I feel the difference in difficulty is not very significant. Especially the hard questions on the real GMAT are actually not that easy to crack in an exam environment. If you’re aiming for a Q50/51, you should get a Q48+ consistently in the GMAT Club quant.

Nothing wrong with that. Sometimes people need more than one attempt to get a top score
