Please let me know if my profile may fit the description as I intend to apply during the R3 ( march 2015).
Hey there good sir,
So thanks for writing dude!
You have overall a good profile, and we'll come back to this soon. But first of all I wanted to comment on your plan for applying in R3 - Don't do it! It's hard enough for Indian students to get in R1! And Round 3 for internationals, unless you are someone super-exceptional (I mean like the Prime Minister's son or something like that) with R2 applications are done.
Now on to your profile...
The Good stuff:
- Good grades from an NIT. Go you!
- Good job in a good industry
- CSR works.
The GMAT is still a question mark, but I'll just wish you look there, and let's hope you pull a score that is similar to your mocks. I don't see any major weaknesses in your profile. Maybe you could have a bit more volunteer work, and a bit stronger extras. But otherwise all is good.
Now on to your school list - your candidacy has the potential to be quite good, but limiting yourself to Top 10 may be a wee bit challenging (or course dependent on your GMAT too!). And you may want to expand your school list to Top 20 to give yourself a broader range of schools to apply to. You still can and should apply to Top 10 schools, but I feel that adding 2-3 Top 20 schools int he mix will do your overall strategy good.
All the best,
JF
