Graduation: Engineering from Tier 1 institute (NSIT). Double scholarship holder: Dean's list merit scholarship throughout graduation, and merit scholarship from Ministry of Human Resources for exceptional performance in high school(Secured 95% marks)
Work ex: 1.Cisco for 1.5 years
Worked in the core team of Cisco's first proprietary operating system. Enhanced the data transmission by introducing optimisations, and suggesting better tunnelling algorithm, leading to 23% efficiency on the feature. Worked with other teams for integration of our work.
Setup an entire networking channel for 4g optimisations, prototype later adopted by Hyderabad govt for their govt. funded high-speed broadband.
Lead a team of 4 during internal Hackathon
Lead Editor at Cisco's internal magazine.Started a column myself, and interviewed Cisco India's Engg Director for the same. Column was hit
Part of Cisco's football team and toastmaster club.
2. Oyo Rooms(Asia's largest online hotel aggregator, backed by SoftBank): Designation Backend Financial Engineer(6 months)
Worked on technology part of finances.
Innovated a feature that reduces Oyo's monthly recoverables by 33%.
Worked closely with finances team to update the system according to changing taxation policies, and helped them generate e-balance sheet on daily basis on the basis of bookings of the day, wallet balance . Thus was able to compute account recievable, accrued recievables etc.
Had to leave because dept got shut down, and I wanted to pursue a career in finance itself.
3. CEHRO India NGO: Program Coordinator(Finance)Working here currently
Working on website backend on multiple features. Optimised the home page load time by 17%.
Integrated payment gateways and hence used the same for generation of the account statement for daily donations computation.
Provided investment advisory to the NGO to invest their donation funds into short-term low-risk mutual funds, and manage funds for various campaigns and events.
Organised various on-street events such as food drive, Street play etc. to enlighten parents to educate their children.
Taught financial literacy to parents of young children to educate them of the banking system and it's benifits. Result: 47 new bank accounts opened at SBI branch nearby.
Currently working to pitch the NGO for partnership integration with fortune 500 companies.
Additional freelancing work:
1.Worked with a startup financial services info and query house. Implemented analytics and deployment tool
2. Worked with a leading credit lending bank: Using machine learning, mechanised the credit paper underwriting process that expedited the loan disbursal process by 47%.
Achievements:
1. Microsoft student partner for my college as part of global Microsoft student partners programme.
2. Semifinalist at Impressario, IIT KGP International b-plan programme.
