Hello Experts,
I need a desperate suggestion regarding my profile before i consider myself for a candidate for JAN 21 intake.
1> I have taken my GMAT already in Nov 2019. I scored a dismal 650 (Q 49, V 28, IR 5, AWA 5.5).
2>STD 10- 91% (2006), STD 12 - 86%(2008) (state board)- For both these cases, as i was among the top most %ile rank holders, i received scholarship from the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India.
--Represented school Soccer team & participated in different debate competitions.
3>B. tech in Electronics and communication Engineering from one of the top engineering college(Institute of Engineering & Management) with a 9.01/10 GPA (scaled GPA 4.0) in the year 2012
--Part of college student council that represented various college activities. Student co-ordinator for College events.
4>Placed in 4 different MNCs after my Undergrad degree.
5> Joined leading Telecomm. service provider in their Global services operations in India as a Engineering trainee on 2012, working for last 7 years.
6>Promoted twice in the meantime, currently working as a Senior Network Engineer.
7> Worked for multiple telecomm operators around the globe, giant names of Africa, US & Europian operators are among them.
8>Internation exposure in Zambia, Africa for couple of months and i was a part of the team who was engaged in commercial launch of a brand new Telecommunication technology there with cross domain interactions with the customer.
9> Also I was in Dusseldorf, Germany in 2018 for sometime as a specialist working for a new project. Leading a team of 10~20 people with constant customer interactions.
10> Part of technical recruitment team of my organization.
11> Part of cultural & brand awarness team in my organization.
12> Multiple key performance award winner for outstanding delivery efforts.
13> Team member for automation & cost-saving programmes in my organization.
I know i represent an over-represented Indian male demographic, but i truely eager to know if i stand any chance for a HEC PARIS admission.
Your kind suggestions & feedbacks are really appreciated.

Thank you for posting. You need to score at least 700 to compete with Indian applicant pool. I do not know anyone who have a score less than 690-700 (Referring Indian male from last 3 batches). There might be someone with an exceptional profile but I do not know anybody. Your have strong academics and your profile looks good in my opinion but you need to provide answers for below to check the fit:
1. Why HEC?
2. What are your short term and long term goals?
3. Which other schools you are applying to and where does HEC stands in your list?
4. Are you planning to settle in Europe?
5. Do you know French or any other international language ?
6. What are your achievements at work?
7. Does your work in limited to technical or you also take part in some business related activities?
8. When are you planning to re-take the GMAT? Your quant is good and clearly need a push in Verbal. How did you prepare for verbal? Can you opt for some course, personal tutoring and boost your score?

Thank you for your kind reply. I know that i have screwed my GMAT score & i require a more healthy one to opt for premium B schools around the world.
Here is my answers to those questions you have asked :-
1. Why HEC? - I belive with the strong faculty & curriculum structure & with even stronger allumni network, HEC will provide me the platform that is unarguably the best suit for me keeping in mind my carrer objectives.
2. What are your short term and long term goals? - My short term goal is to get acquinted with the management style of working in a more channalized way with a reputed organization. In long term, i would try to build my own venture, a start-up basically in the health care industry.
3. Which other schools you are applying to and where does HEC stands in your list? - I was planning to apply for ESMT,Rotterdam & IE. But HEC stands first in the list.
4. Are you planning to settle in Europe? - Depending upon the situation at my hand after i complete grad from there & also on the work profile i will have at that time.
5. Do you know French or any other international language ? - Not yet.
6. What are your achievements at work? - Became the youngest team leader when my work ex. was ~ 3-4 years, clearing a business related certification internal to the organization, top performer round the clock for last several years, securing newer businesses from the end customer those are financially beneficial for the organization & many more.
7. Does your work in limited to technical or you also take part in some business related activities? - My Work scope dominantly is technical but i am also part of business related activities like driving efficiency improvement programs to guiding team to secure newer business scopes. (...mentioning a couple of these)
8. When are you planning to re-take the GMAT? Your quant is good and clearly need a push in Verbal. How did you prepare for verbal? Can you opt for some course, personal tutoring and boost your score - I am planning to re-take the GMAT in a month or two. I need a definite push in verbal, i am lagging there. Initially my mock verbak score varied a lot from V 28 to V 38 before my first GMAT. I have opted for a course & preparing for the GMAT with a more verbal focused approach now.
