Hi All,
Please help me evaluate my profile for Rotman.
Any help is appreciated!
Age: 23 yr
GMAT Score: 710
Nationality: India
Educational Qualifications:
Graduation: B.Com (Hons.) from Delhi University (7.56 CGPA)
12th (CBSE Board - India): Commerce with Maths (90%)
10th - 8.8 CGPA
Work Experience:
Assurance Senior at EY with experience of more than 2.5 years.
Work role includes leading a team of associates, performing multiple financial analyses and handling end to end processes.
Extra-Curricular:
● Organising Member, WIBE (EY), Responsible for organising and handling in-house team engagement activities and out-house team building activities.
Photography:
● Head of Photography (DU Beat - India's Largest Student-run media organisation) - Led a team of 30 people and managed all the operations throughout.
● Participated in and won multiple photography competition
● Completed 20+ projects in Fashion and Event Photography.
● Coordinator, Kitaab Club (Social welfare)- led a team of 10 members to handle operations and raise funds for teaching campaigns for needy students.
Please help me evaluate my profile for Rotman.

Hi Akarsh,
You have decent work experience and versatile extracurricular activities. While your chances at Rotman are good with a GMAT of 710, you may consider other schools as well. Do DM in case you want to discuss in detail.

How have you demonstrated career progression in the last 2.5~3 years? What new learnings, and incremental responsibilities did you gain as you treaded this career path? For your applications focus on highlighting the most unique aspects - work experiences / personal experiences to increase the odds of success. Reflect on the instances where you took initiatives to resolve a conflict within teams, motivated co-workers and subordinates to expedite projects, and generated impact on business in terms of $$ through cost savings or revenue generation. B schools are big on community and diversity initiatives. While we trust your efforts in educating needy kids, if you can substantiate your community work with proof (certificates or recommendations), that would be better.
With good narrative planning Rotman can be well within reach.
If you need professional guidance on carving a solid strategy for your applications do reach out.
