Hi, I have received an admit from ASU WP Carey school for the MSF program for fall 2020. Please tell me is the program good with
respect to employment opportunity. Also, please tell me that as I have got my admit, is it worth applying to Ohio state Fisher SMF program for securing better employment and also less tuition cost? Please help.

Hello Ashminkaul,

Congratulations on your admit. WP Carey is one of the good programs in the US. Though they are known for their MBA program than the MSF program.
Some positive points about this school.

1. Smaller class size - this makes it a very close-knit community.
2. Good alumni network
3. Carey is also ranked among the top 30.

Fisher is also a great school too and in the same league in terms of ranking. You could look at the curriculum, fee structure, location preference (cost of living, weather)
to then take a final call.

Here is the deal. OSU is a much better program.

1) ASU is fine, their program is established and has been around for a while.
2) ASU is a party school, flat out. I am sure you can get good academics, but when I see an ASU resume the first thing I am asking about is non-academic topics.
3) Look at placements and percent international students

OSU is a much more job placement orientated program and I think you will find the schools program to get have more and better alumni in the financial industry. The school is still fun and all, but is very well respected in the midwest as well as nationally.
