Hey all,
I got 680 in my first attempt.
640 in my second attempt. However, I cancelled this score.
I guess the schools I had selected wont see this score BUT will the schools know that I took a second attempt?
If I attempt a third time and I get higher than 680 and I accept the score - will the schools know that this is my third attempt?

Hey all,

With the changes made by GMAC, if you cancel your score, the only person who will know that you took a second (or third) attempt will be you.
There will be no "C" or any indication of you ever writing the exam from the school's point of view.

Kurai has correctly answered your questions - since you cancelled your score, you are the only one who will ever know that you took that Test and scored 640.
Beyond that, it sounds as though you're planning to retake the GMAT again. It's only been about 16 days since you took the GMAT for the 1st time - and posted about it here:

Clearly, whatever you worked on during these last 2 weeks was not enough to properly 'fix' whatever issues you have with the GMAT. Thus, before you go back in to retest, you should consider answering the questions that I asked in that prior post. In addition, there are clearly some adjustments that need to be made to your study routine and how you handle Test Day. This is all meant to say that you might need more time than just another 16 days and you shouldn't rush back in until you've properly defined, and 'fixed', the necessary areas that need to worked on.
