Hi,
I am planning to apply to R3 for the 2014 intake (Mar 3rd deadline). I just wanted to check if applying in R3 is still an okay option? Is ROTMAN's admission process similar to the US schools, i.e. significantly lesser no: of seats available for grabs in R3 and later?
I am specifically asking this question as my GMAT is a terrible 640. I am in the most stereotyped industry and demography (IT, plus I am in the most competitive Indian applicant pool). The only factor which may possibly add some weight to my profile is that by the time class starts in Sep 2014 I would be having 6 yrs of work-ex, including 2 years of international experience. Not sure if my profile deserves a chance in R3. Any help or pointers would be extremely helpful. I am targeting the march 3rd deadline, and I am in real time crunch to get my application ready.
Thanks in advance.
Hi Jeet,
My advice would be that as you apply in the later rounds the chances of getting accepted goes down , particularly since you mention the GMAT score and the competitive demography that you come from. As i can see the average GMAT score of people who have applied/got admitted from the table is higher that your score.
I would advice that you apply early for other schools for the next academic session, for eg Ivey has an early deadline in May 14 -so a wait of just 2 more months. also take another chance with GMAT by that time.
Thats my feel but I am no expert , though have been admitted to ROTMAN this year.
