I am a 25 year old Indian Male Engineer and have been preparing for the GMAT for the last 2 months.
I scored a 590 (Q49 V22) on my diagnostic and have taken about 4 more practice exams ever since but my score has only been in the range of 600-640 (Q49-51 V20-24). I have taken an online course from one of the Indian GMAT test prep companies. My verbal score has not improved at all and Im not sure of the reason.
My background:
CGPA of 6.56/10 from a top 25 Engineering Institute.
Graduated in June 2016.
Ran my first startup in the education domain from 2013-2017 (during the four years of my college) and grossed 80 lakh INR in revenues.
Currently running my second startup as a product company from 2015 and have managed to grow revenues by 100% year on year.
I have won B plan competitions and have a good understanding of startups.
I wish to apply to Rotman and Schulich by R1 (30 Sept 2019 deadline for Rotman and 17th Oct 2019 deadline for Schulich) however I havent taken the GMAT yet. After being stuck at scores of 620-640, I dont see the point in taking the GMAT. However, I am running out of time and am considering that I should just take the GMAT and submit my application to Rotman and Schulich.
Please suggest whether I should take the GMAT or not. If I do, will a GMAT score of 650 with my profile be competitive to be accepted from any of the two B schools? If not, what should be the next steps?

Hi you have a very profile in terms of work exp. If you are confident about the 620 scores, I suggest you write the exam. for the Rotman and Schulich schools your targeted score is very much sufficient for your profile. All the best

To start, since you're ultimately asking Admissions questions, you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile and plans. There's a Forum full of those Experts here:

Unfortunately, until you have an Official GMAT Score, there will probably be a limit to how accurately an Admissions Expert could predict your chances of getting into any particular Program. That Exam Score is an essential part of the application process at most Schools, so if you're serious about applying to Business School, then you're going to have to take the GMAT.
You have at least 4 weeks of potential study time before either of the application deadlines that you listed, so you could still improve on your current practice scores. Before I can offer you any additional advice for your studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:
Studies:
1) How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used besides the course that you mentioned? What 'brands' of CATs/mocks have you taken?
3) On what dates did you take EACH of your CATs and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
