Error analysis in the original sentence:

1. Noun (child) ---- pronoun used (their)
(Singular vs. Plural) --- The correct pronoun would have to be: he/ she/ his/ her etc.

2. wealth and position (nouns) - verb used "is"
grammatically- correct verb is "are".

POE:

* usage of pronoun "their" - eliminate: A, B and D

* Between C & E:
E- doesn't has verb for wealth and position - hence eliminated.

per our error analysis,:
Correct answer is - Option (C)

Let us see E again:
The standard Frances Hodgson Burnett plot is one in which a disadvantaged person, often a child, is resotred to the wealth and position of his natural birthright.

Subject-verb pairs are highlighted. E is incorrect since we are using incorrectly preposition - of .
We need- which - to modify nouns: wealth and position.

1. pronoun 'his' should be 'his or her' - reject options C and E
2. Since what follows 'is resotred to the wealth and position' is an essential modifier, the conjunction used should be 'that' without comma - reject options A and D.

Hence, B.

In B, verb 'are' agrees with subject 'wealth and position'
