Are we supposed to see on the application status page when our app is under review? People here have been asking if anyone's status changed from submitted to anything else, but I thought the only change in status they are going to give us is invite to interview, rejection, or WL...?
I have an interview scheduled during the first week of January. Please feel free to reach out if anyone in the same boat wishes to connect via Skype to practice interviewing.

Interview invite yesterday (12/9), R2 applicant. Impressive turnaround time on their part!
Already?! Congrats!! Did you apply on the 15th or before the deadline? Did your status ever change from submitted to under review?

For whatever it's worth, I applied R1, have already interviewed, and my status still says "Submitted." It never said anything else at any point in the process.

It should say "Submitted" under the Application Management Page and then under the Application Status Page it should say "Interview Complete" and "Your application is in the final stages of review".

Where is that Application Status Page? All I see is the page with the list of submitted/received application materials.
I submitted my application on 10/6 and NYU received essay 2 on 10/14. I am clearly a R1 applicant and I still haven't heard back. What am to make of this? I am puzzled how applications are processed. Doesn't seem to be FIFO.
dprinceny I think each application takes a different amount of time to reach a decision on. For example, if someone used personal emails for recommenders, it may take the adcoms more time to verify those, prolonging the decision period. There's still hope though. People are still getting invites and we still have 3 more days!
I've created a WhatsApp group for all the NYU Stern candidates who've been invited to interview. Please feel free to reach out if you wish to be added to the group to learn from, and contribute tips for the interview practice. We've come far, let's assist each other at the last stretch of a long journey.
Did my interview this morning and it went as expected. The interviewer was very friendly and it was a pleasant conversation. I was a bit nervous, so was talking very fast. I wish I had taken a step back, organized my thoughts a little better, and talked slower.
All the questions I got were in the MBA Data Guru list, so make sure to prepare for those.

Do you know what the turnaround time from interview to decision is?
