(A) Subject benefit (singular noun) does not agree with the verb are (plural verb). Since we are talking about multiple benefits, it should be plural. The phrase associated with is not parallel with and from. This implies associated is used for both associated with and associated from which is not correct.
 
(B) benefits associated from sounds awkward and incorrect
 
(C) Again we face the issue where associated with is not parallel to and from. Since from is outside the underlined part and cannot be changed, the phrase associated with must be changed.
 
(D) The phrase resulting from fits the sentence correctly. However, we are talking about multiple benefits here. So this choice is incorrect.
 
(E)  Correct  This options resolves both, the parallelism is fixed and benefits agree with the verb are.

Probably that kind of differentiation would not be confronted with in GMAT. The phrase "benefits resulting from" is correct  enough , not to be one among the wrong choices in the exam.

But yes... IF both the options were there, "benefits from" would be better, since it uses less number of words to convey the same meaning.

Is there any way I can eliminate option B and choose option E instead ? Somehow I don't understand why B is awkward ... Please suggest if there is some other way I can eliminate option B.

It is about idiomatic usage- "associated from" is a wrong usage. The correct idiom is " associated with".

There is problem with the latter part of the sentence:

..benefits  associated with  conditioning a tough mental system and  from  continuously building ...

The "from" in red font does no go with "associated" - "associated from" is wrong.

isn't "benefits  from " grammatically correct?

in this case, we could have "benefits  associated with   X and    from  Y" ... wouldn't this be correct as well? one part has a conjunction,  associated with  , but the second one does not,    from  , because it does not need it.

is this wrong?

Good question. 
I managed to choose E over B, but not for the reason stated (I felt like the benefits were derived from ( results from  emotional stability rather than merely correlated with ( associated with  it). The parallelism tested here is subtle

The word include( not includes) is the key which requires benefits instead of benefit.

I am confused with the explanation for (C) being wrong here.

In case of prepositional parallelism- is it necessary that both the prepositions are same?

Can't we have have sentences like the  The rain drops fell into the rain gauge and on the ground.  
Or is this type of construction wrong?

Can anyone clarify this.
