Hi, and thanks for writing! To answer some of your questions:
- You will not need to convert your GPA, since the admissions committees are very familiar with the grading scales across schools and countries. That said, your GPA does seem to be on the lower side. To offset it, I would retake the GMAT - since you're applying from a competitive demographic anyway, the higher the score the better
- Applying in ED can certainly help, since it will signal to the school your strong interest, and in general given CBS's rolling admission, the earlier you apply to the program, the more spots that are available. However, you'll want to be prepared to discuss in your application why CBS is your top choice, so make sure to do your research, attend virtual events, and speak with students/alumni.
- The one thing that is tricky, however, is that you already have a Master's in Finance. It isn't that common for candidates to get both an MFin and an MBA, so you'll really want to make a strong case for why you need an MBA at this point in your career
- Regarding extracurriculars - these are especially looked upon favorably if they reflect leadership. Since yoga is a big interest of yours, I'd definitely do that Certified Teacher program, and then maybe you can start teaching classes (maybe virtually if needed)? You could also consider offering pro-bono sessions to help people work through the stresses of the pandemic.
Have your recommenders already submitted? For a very competitive program like CBS, you'll want to make sure that these are as strong and detailed as possible and explain your performance, potential, and growth (esp. vs. peers) with specific examples. If you feel that they haven't done this, you should consider asking them to revise, or you could pick an alternative recommender .
Overall, I do feel that CBS is a reach for you based on the current information I have, but acing GMAT, becoming more involved in the community, researching the program, applying ED, and getting stronger recommendations will help your chances.
Hope that helps for now!
