Congrats to everyone who was lucky enough to get an invite! Onto the next phase and then we’ll be back to waiting. Does anyone have an interview coming up next week? And yes, FATMIKE got an invite!

Hope this is helpful for applicants next year. Submitted my app 3 hours before the deadline and received an interview invite yesterday end of day (Thursday @ 5:00 PM CT). If I was being honest with myself Booth is match school for peers at my firm/undergrad/etc. I am pretty sure invites roll in in the order you applied. Then rejections all come Friday end of day.

You’ll get there champ, we all will. I’m not doing any better either, dinged after interview CBS, dinged Booth. I used same strategies for all R1 schools, so I’m expecting rejections from Sloan and Wharton soon. :(

Congratulations to all the apllicants who got through. Is it just me who is feeling that number of invites sent this year are less than previous year's?
Specially for Indian candidates. Just 1/4 got an invite (25%) ?

This is true, know someone who applied to 10 schools between rounds; only got interviews at HBS and Kenan-Flagler. Then got into both.

Rejections come out at the end of the day Friday, yes. Invites, however, do not come out in order you submitted. I submitted mine a few weeks before the deadline and didn’t get my invite until the end.

They do seem a little light this year, but it may be because people aren’t reporting them. Also, I wouldn’t be surprised if some people didn’t even know they got it. Emails didn’t even go out for the vast majority of interview invites.

Question about this group's approach to the short answers...are you planning to do somewhat fun/informal answers, or more serious responses that jibe with the rest of your application?

I know the instructions describe these as "informal (and hopefully fun)," but it feels a little...awkward to write an essay saying "I'm most curious to know how many dogs my future self has!" I wasn't going to rehash anything from my application (mostly sticking to different stories that paint a more complete picture of myself), so I just want to make sure giving personal/serious answers isn't out of bounds.

What are your thoughts?

I would keep it in line with the rest of your application and professional. You’re still being assessed as an applicant. Just my two cents.
