For the Kellogg video essays, I used those 20 seconds of preparation time for each question to go over some content I had written on the word document to come up with a brief idea of what to say/present.
Does that 20 second preparation time also matter, and will this be seen in any negative manner?

Despite your over-represented profile, with your current GMAT, and a very strong application, it seems likely you can get significant scholarships in T-15 schools.

If you can pull up your scores to 750+ however, you may also look at M-7, if the rest of your story provides a strong context.

Hope that helps

I emailed my interview match within 1 hr of receiving the email. I have not heard back (it’s been over 24 hrs) not sure if i should follow up, worried that my email might go to their mailbox. Did your matches respond right away to confirm the date?

Fall23Apps, Don’t worry about that! The you still have at least 2.5 months to complete the interview. If you don’t receive any update by Thursday, send a reminder.
If you do not receive an email by next Tuesday, send an email to the admission team.

PLEASE DO NOT COPY ADMISSION TEAM WHILE SENDING REMINDER TO THE INTERVIEWER. It’ll reflect poorly.

What if the interviewer has been copying the admissions team in all replies? It feels weird to leave them out in my replies too

Your academic arc is solid. The international flavor and the e-commerce side hustle can be skillfully woven into your narrative to add multiple layers to your story.

For me, your work experience in the pharma industry is the highlight. However, please note that many ZS applicants with pharma backgrounds often apply T10 schools (I have worked with a few), so if you are genuinely aiming for M7 schools, you must excel in your application and interviews.

Your growth trajectory within the pharma space, transitioning from sales to market research, is particularly intriguing. There is significant potential to discuss your close work with the target groups across markets (which could be patients or caregivers) and emphasize the key insights derived from your projects. In MBA essays, passion takes center stage. they are about how ready you are to address a problem you've observed through your experiences or seize an opportunity. Ideally, you should identify underlying themes in your narrative and connect them with your career decisions thus far. Your passion for your field of work and how it motivates you to pursue greater opportunities in strategy consulting should shine brightly in your application. I would highly suggest applying to Duke and Tuck. Your background is an advantage, and both are consulting powerhouses.

Get personalized advice tailored to your specific situation. Do not hesitate to reach out should you need help in navigating your unique circumstances in the B School admissions process.
