Oxford places some candidates on a fast-track and interviews them earlier and even sends them a decision earlier.
I can agree to the comment from Viktor but interviewing them earlier? How it’s possible when a candidate themselves select the interview date?

I don’t think they’re implying anything weird or untoward :) They probably just mean that they try to interview people quicker if it helps their workload.

As an example, I booked my interview to be done virtually but I was contacted by someone in the Admissions team to say that the Africa Initiative Lead would be in town during the interview window so they offered me an in-person interview with different (even earlier) slots.

As in they inform them of an interview before the initial notification date I.e. 31st January as it was for most applicants

Er....can you elaborate please? 😅 It would be great to know how it was different.
Sorry for my late reply as i was unwell.

So the questions that were diff than the standard were:
1. How would you handle the stress of the condensed 1 year mba program?
2. If you were to recommend me a book what book would you recommend ?
3. If you are admitted to oxford, how would I spot you in the crowd?
4. If you would have the ability to go back in time where would it be and why?
..
Trying to remember, ill post again if i remember

Had my interview last week. Questions were like:

- Why MBA and why now?
- How can Oxford help you in achieving your short and long-term goals - which subjects
- What are you looking to get out of the MBA
- Which companies would you want to work for right after graduation, and which geographical locations
- Why Oxford
- Which other unis in the UK have you applied for and do you have a preference?
- How have you ever resolved a conflict with another stakeholder in your department
- What is your leadership style
- Does your GMAT score reflect your abilities

They also questioned me regarding the my hobbies on my CV and the current political climate in my country, however, that might have just been casual chat.

There might also have been more questions that I cannot recall. Best of luck!

Yes deadline is mid March. And it only takes 6 days (weekend included) to get result
Request for an early decision - does this affect their final decision in any way?
No. Adcom during my interview actually encouraged me to do that in case I had any competing offer

Round 1 guys got it a day before the date mentioned on the website. During my interview, adcom mentioned that we can expect the results anytime in first week of March.

Does your GMAT score reflect your abilities
- what are they exactly looking for in this answer? Was your score exceptionally high?

the same question appears in LBS application - the prompt is ’Do you feel that your academic performance so far gives an accurate indication of your potential for success on the programme? If so, why? If not, why not?’

I suppose its either low or high - and they wanted to see how you can ’convince’ people. not so much about how justify a low score vs prove your high score

No, it’s on the lower side.
