Hello everyone, I am R1 admit. Just sharing my interview. experience. Hope it can be of some help
Essay- 1. Your manager during your Mba internship gives you and your peers gifts on successful completion of project. What would you do? Evaluate the impact of your actions on your peers and employer.
2. One of your teammates is frequently late to office and takes leaves. Your other teammates are showing disapproval in this. What would you do? What outcome do you expect.
What all the applicants in R1 experienced is that most of the on spot essays are from the same pool that were asked earlier. So go through all the pervious topics available on internet about Isb on spot essays.

Interview Experience- 3 panelists- one from management consulting, one from aerospace and one from constructions.

1.They introduce themselves then asked my introduction
2. How your day looks like.
3. What intellectual learnings you got from your ngo experience
4. Questions around my 2nd essay
5.How would you handle the situation if you are given a chance to solve the same problem now( question from 2nd essay)
6. Questions on a custom gpt I created for my ngo
7. Why you want to transition to operations consulting
8. Detailed question on my 3rd essay ( I have mentioned about my training and placement exp)
9. One professional situation in which you have to hold your integrity.
10. Why should ISB select you.
11. What kind of research you did for your career goals
12. One guessestimate question( not expected as I have not mentioned it in my career goals)
13. Any questions for us.
Unexpectedly no questions on my reapplicant essay.
Overall the interview went for 50-55 mins. Panelists were extremely helpful and cooperative.

Hi folks! My interview is on Saturday. If 3–4 people from Mumbai are looking for an interview prep buddy, we can prepare together. If time allows, we can even plan an in-person session. Let me know!

Interesting and thank you so much. I did not expect them to ask guesstimates. I have never really given them for any job interviews even. How to best prepare for them?

I’m a BTech in Information Technology from IIIT, where I graduated with a CGPA of 8.55/10 in 2023. During undergrad, I was deeply involved in leadership, sports, and competitive activities alongside academics. I served as the founding President of an NGO, was a lead for the college fest, and held leadership or senior roles in the Design Club, Literary Society, and the ML Club. I’ve also won national-level hackathons and quiz competitions.

On the sports front, I represented CBSE at the national level in hockey during school, and later represented my college in lawn tennis. These experiences played a significant role in shaping my leadership style, resilience, and ability to perform in high-pressure environments.

Post-graduation, I’ve built a non-linear, execution-heavy career across Founder’s Office / CEO’s Office, strategy, growth, and GTM roles in high-growth tech and startup environments. I’ve worked closely with founders and senior leadership, owning high-priority initiatives end to end across product, growth, sales, and business operations, in both 0→1 and scale-up contexts.

I’m now planning to apply to ISB to formalize my business foundation and transition into top-tier consulting or leadership roles, with a long-term goal of senior leadership.

I’d really appreciate your feedback on:

Overall competitiveness of my profile for ISB PGP

How my academic, extracurricular, and leadership background will be viewed

What GMAT Focus score I should realistically target for Round 3 to strengthen my application
